  1. What sender is it?, and would that effect the fuel gauge as well? (is it located at the same place as the "blue" temp sensor?) No, fair point. I didn't read your post properly.
  2. my guess would be temp sender, i'd always work from there back towards the guage itself in terms of trouble shooting.
  3. was the new front x-member brand spanking new from vdub ? how much did it cost? :salute:
  4. sorry but that did make me laugh. I'm not lauging at your plight, its just we have all be thereb4. I.e slamming the door and walking away in disgust saying "stoopid car" :mad2: lol..
  5. unlucky mate. Did u do a quarter mile out of interest ?
  6. Looking forward to this one. You will make an excellent guinea pig for me. 8)
  7. :) red is both a blessing and a curse. Owners of red 15 year old cars know what i mean.
  8. Now then Mardy Bum, I'm in trouble again, aren't I? While you lie over there, pulling that silent dissapointment face, the one that I can't bear.... Grumpy, in a word. :) :salute: ironic that I didn't know what that means.
  9. what does mardy mean? Scuse me ,I have led a sheltered life. :)
  10. cheers. I was just asking in general as your car gives really good figures.Just trying to get a feel for your mods. :)
  11. what mods have you done to your exhaust system mate ?
  12. That looks perfek  Can I ask where you got them from ? Are they blade fuses ? :salute:
  13. tbh you can hear knock without them.It just makes it more proounced. 12 volt feeds. hall. injectors. isv and MS All fused. I think thats it...
  14. well done for sticking with the steelies and making it work. Car looks very good. Mine needs doing if you want more cleaning practice. :tumbleweed:
  15. Cheers Jon. Its very instructive and good fun.
  16. If you strip it you may as well re-build ?? Or are you going to just make sure everything is in spec and just replace all the stretch bolts? You boys just want an excuse to take it apart. :)
  17. I was going to go to the inters but I have a flat tyre and I have lost my wheel lock key. :brickwall: So I thought I would use my time constructively and fix a few niggles. I found a long suspected boost leak in between my isv and the intake manifold and I also have fixed my remaining MS install bug bear. Getting the bosch g60 isv to work with MS. Before today when using the isv the car either wouldn't start without use of the throttle or it start without use of the throttle but the isv would rev the balls off the car,i.e 4k rpm. No good for idle really. :? Anyway I managed to fine tune the MS settings to get the car to start with no use of the throttle.Car now idles nicely at 1k rpm as nature intended. Next I need to deal with the asthetic side of my install. I need to find a nice small little fuse boxs to neatly distribute my switched 12 volts in the engine bay. random pics.
  18. how come? Any ominous signs or just for peace of mind?
  19. Schrick is very good value for money I think. After the smaller pulley it has been the best mechanical power adder for the car. What do you mean by dynamic advance of 7 deg?? Do you mean your ignition timing? was that measured at idle or 2.5 rpm? ta. Sorry to muddy your thread Yan.
  20. yeah but it is still a corrado. VW Corrado. Making going slow look cool since the 80's. 8)
