  2. I think thats what I am trying to say junkie. I very rarley launch her away in first ( have already done in one gearbox :shrug: ) But she seems so much better when chucking her around lanes going up and down between 3rd-4th & 5th. I love the power about 3.5k. The G was always good here but it really does seem to throw you back more than before. :nuts: each to their own,if this suits your driving style and your happy then more power to you. :) I personally think you should have gotten something a bit milder that isn't going to bleed moost of your boost off down your exhaust pipe. :grin:
  3. The reason it feels sluggish low till 3000 rpm is because you have taken a hell of a hit on your torque. Look at the blue line on the top graph how it is higher over a larger band of rpm especially lower down. Ok the rpm axis does start a little earlier on the bottom graph but not much. A g60 is all about low down punch in my opinion. I love the way mine launches,I wouldn't give that up for the world,but if this suits your driving style then cool. You haven't gained much at the top so i can't see that its worth it though?!? Why did you choose this cam over some of the more popular g60 cams? Sorry if I seem over critical I appreciate you posting your graph up 4 people to look at. Always nice to see peoples tuning efforts. :salute:
  4. hmm.. the curve looked better b4 tbh. you seem to have lost a fair bit of low end power without any real gain at the top end.. The curve was alot broader b4. isn't 285 a bit extreme for a g60 duration wise ? How does it feel to drive mate ?

  7. the only other thing you could try is putting the digi chip back in there. If you get better readings then you know that chip is i'll configured for your car.. just a thought..

  10. Even though there is loads of room in a 60's bay I just couldnt make it fit :grin: The 285 and vernier has made no diff to the performance but she does pull from 3k much better. She is much better after being set up and hardly lumpy at all. I think my issues are to a fooked blue temp sensor, Have put a 2nd hand one in and it made a huge diff to the idle. Just need to get a new one in. But she is all good and thats the main thing :clap: :clap: did you get a print out? the change in cam didn't change the power curve at all ? :scratch: what cam did you have in there prior,stock? ta.
  11. the abf engine by all accounts is a VW masterpiece but its not quite good enuff as a sraight swap for a G ?????? As a base for FI though.... :clap: :grin:

Sheesh, it's the boost monkey that does all the calculations in my family :geek: :lol: As he's racing Lambos this weekend ( ) you're on your own, sorry :shrug: (Er, I'm still running Bosch green tops too :oops: so not an expert at injectors/FPRs/flow rates...) I was just winding u up. cheapmods surely it will be easier just to use the uprated fpr that has been designed for your system,or are you running more boost now ??

  14. yeah there are calculators on the web for these thngs but its bank holiday saturday and so I am too lazy to find one for u. :) If you uprate your fpr or injectors then you should have a map that takes this into consideration or else you will run rich..

  17. ok,but at idle the charger wouldn't come into play so your engine would just be sucking anyway. I would only see 11's when driving like a lune at full bore. You should have high 14''s low 15's at idle and light driving. that to me is the weirdest one. R u sure that lc-1 is configured properly? I have had no experiece with the digital output so I can't comment.
  18. is that a generic 16vg60 chip,did they tailor the code towards your engine and injectors. Your running quite big(in terms of flow rate) injectors aren't u?

  20. smith220 you can't really go wrng using std engine oil,afrer all thats what the charger would get normally and was designed to work off.. cheers for your input gents. p'son I'll head over to your thread for a nose.
