  1. that subframe should last you a while. :) Mine looks awful. :( *Walks away to put his head back in the sand*
  2. Rob, any idea how much your inlet temps drop with the Megasquirt? And can you put ice water in the reservoir? actually I saw some inlet temps of about 40 degress in the logs. This was under hard driving in moderately weather. I couldn't comment on pre intercooler heat as I don't have anything setup at the mo..
  3. i like the heat  ,g60 doesn't though..
  4. can't argue with those figures mate :0) :salute: I rekon u should get a wideband of some description so you can see what the fueling is doing. It might point you in the right direction in relation to you know what. :)
  5. looking good bud. Not long now then ?!!! 8)
  6. cheapest part to change next would be the blue temp sender. swap the blue sender with the black one for the time being and see if the problem is any better.
  7. it will only spark when the hall is generating a tach signal.Tach signal is only generated when the dizzy is being rotated by the engine. The best way to check for spark is turn the engine over and use a timing light on one of the ht leads to see if it pulses. If you don't have a timing light then some people hold a ht lead along with its spark plug to the block to ground it. Then turn the engine over . Obviosuly the spark plug should be seen to ignite. You can get an electric shock doing this though and I personally wouldn't recommend it. Do a search on here or any car forum/google for that matter on checking for spark.
  8. it will only spark whe the ecu de-energises the coil by grounding the negative coil connection. The ecu will only do this when it senses an rpm signal from the hall sender on the dizzy.... whats up?

    I S V valve

The isv's on some vw n/a cars are the same as the one fitted to the g60. I took one of a 2.0 8v car and it had the same part code as the one on my g60. The isv is activated by the ecu to either let in air or bleed boost. This is controlled by the ecu. Both actions are performed in the same manner by the ecu pwm'ing the valve to open it. There is no difference in terms of how the isv is activated in the two different scenarios.
  10. yeah vac leaks would make part throttle operation inconsistent but becomes less of an issue at WOT so maybe start there..
  11. how come you have gone cold on the 4wd idea ?
  12. ..and the point of that is ??? to$$ers. :(
  13. ah well at least you have the balls to try these things and do your own work etc. :salute: Did you have a spacer on this engine to lower compression or is the bottom end standard? It will be interesting to see what you find when the lump comes out. :shades:
  14. I love this car. I want it. :notworthy:
