  1. is that a v6 motion or an r32 block goldie ? sorry if u have said already.
  2. didnt want to cut anything incase i want to revert back to standard at a later date, so i got the oil filter housing threaded bar from a mk1 golf i did have a look at my g60 one as im in the process of fitting mine and i cant see any way to go wrong, it only goes on one way and and the thermostatic bit doesnt matter which way the pipes go to the cooler, so i dont think the g60 boys need to worry.
  3. my oil cooler sits next to my fmic so as to get air in from the front of the car.. an option maybe?!?!?..
  4. one kinda implies the other though really mate.. Thats why these engines use MAP sensor(amongst other things) to to calculate how much air is in the engine.
  5. Apart idle regulation i understood that the isv's only other function was to bleed boost under the control of the ecu in the event of knock... ?!?!? :)
  6. yeah yeah i'm putting u on my pooh list.pistols at dawn. Seriously though It simple when u know but I never knew to look is all.
  7. I must admit I was a bit annoyed that these didn't come with fitting instructions. Maybe it is different on the VR's but on the g60 kits you have to cut the oil housing thread etc.. I never looked for any holes or the like when I fitted mine. :confused4:
  8. Not sure either but unless you are close to WOT alot of that boost gets bled off because of the G's throttle arrangement. If you have a spare manifold to try it on why not just experiment and see what it feels like?
  9. I soo agree with the above. the corrado looks like it should be fast. Especially when lowered with reasonably good paint etc.. :|
  10. jonny-5 my sender is 035 919 561 I'm going to move the oil temp sender to the side of the head and put the two pole sender in its place and re-jig the associated wiring. Thnks for the tips. :)
  11. does it cut out under braking,i.e when you appoach junctions or is it totally random?
  12. cool, I still think that is excessively rich for just a start up map though. Could end up fouling your plugs.. I had this problem when I was tuning my engine a few weeks ago. Anyway lets wait till you have that new charger. Is it due any day now?? :)
  13. Am i rite in thinking that these are two big to be placed at the back of the oil filter housing in the original oil pressure sensor thread as they come up against the back of the block on a g60? If so can anyone recommend a dual plug sender that will fit back there or some sort of adapter?? thnks in advance.
  14. I dunno about the temp sender on mine, never tried it, and rather not justin case  may sound a bit odd, but have you checked the vacum pipe from your ecu to the throttle body is exactly 1 metre long? I take it the corrado ones are the same as a Rallye? only reason i ask is when i had my Rallye, one day inexplicably it stalled, right in the middle of a junction  It tried to restart but flaffed and farted about, got it to the side of the road and tried all sorts, wouldnt have it at all, it had never gone wrong ever in 5 years and this really baffled me, got it towed by a range rover sport 8) and left it in my garage while i attempted to work out the cheapest and easiest way to find the problem myself  anyway long story short and about a week later after it being sat in my garage in disgrace i eventually checked under the throttle body , and yep! the vaccum pipe from the ecu was cracked and leaking as it had gone brittle  so 10 minutes later it was wearing a brand new piece of vaccum hose exactly 1 metre long and it started on the button and ran better than ever  vaccum hoses go very brittle over time on these cars i have noticed so its worth checking them if you have not already i'll save Neil the bother. He's changed nearly everything on the car, some things twice. :D
  15. Fueling sounds wrong to me. Have you got your new chip? Was the code written with the flow rate of your new injectors in mind? Guess we should wait till you have your charger fitted and go from there, but the charger doesn't generate boost anyway at idle and light throttle so i'd expect a normal fuel ratio around that area?!? Don't drive it too hard in the meantime because it should not be going that lean upon deceleration/coast down. :salute:
  16. yeah i reckon when you let the car warm up,that idle reading will get leaner. Probably just cold start enrichment. A good investment the lc-1. Nice to see whats going on don't you think?!!
  17. It was my understanding that the CO was only for the idle mixture... may be wrong though. Wouldn't have thought that would cause the extreme readings you are getting though... Where is the probe located?
  18. Thats really really rich and dangerously lean. Did the guage come with any instructions in regards to what voltages represent what afr's? You can then calibrate the lc-1 accordingly coz that can't be rite?!?!?!?! At WOT does it feel like you have a parachute behind you causing a drag effect ? That indicates that you are running lean. At WOT's you want 13's 12's. 11's at the most really. At idle high 14's 15's.
  19. curious, what kinda afr's does your cart idle at mate?
  20. engine temp pretty critical really although I would have thought it would just ran the engine rich so that it could be started and driven home safely. I can't give u my verdict as no longer digi. Soz.
  21. i prefer the earlier shape ones but yeah, nice car mate. :salute:
