  1. When I did the conversion from 2.0 16v it was just a matter of splicing the looms. \Paddy
  2. Took part at a track day at Mondello Park :) \Paddy
  3. FYI, tapatalk on ipad is working for me. Random pic as a test.
  4. If you jack it up and spin the wheel by hand is the noise still there? If you swap that wheel to the rear does the noise move with it aswell?
  5. Take a look here: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?49297-G-000-450-02-Sunroof-lubricant The part number for the vw grease is there. \Paddy
  6. What lube did you use. It could be causing more friction which is putting extra load on the motor. There is a special lube for the sunroof.
  7. i've used Paisley Freight a few times when getting alloys and other parts delivered. they were always the best price and i never had any issues with them. \Paddy
  8. Is there a deadline? Where in Ireland? Prices delivered to Dublin will be cheaper than the rest of the country. Would the boxes all fit in a car? Lots of lads bring cars back from the uk so taking this as a nixer could cover some of their costs. The exchange rate is unbelievably bad at the moment so there may not be too many people buying at the moment. \Paddy
  9. Are you sure it's the correct connector? The L plug is black. See here: http://www.a2resource.com/electrical/CE2.html
  10. I don't think it's either r. It looks like the support piece that goes below the front crossmember. Or the steel strip that attaches the spoiler to the bumper. My bumper is off the car so I can take pics for you if you want. \Paddy
  11. Got mine working alright. Mines been a very very long term project though. Hope to have it on the road in a few weeks. \Paddy
  12. I was fixing the same on mine today... pin 3 and 5 on the cluster (ce2) are ground, so you could check them 1st. Pin 11 is 12v(fuse14) and pin 13 is ignition power. Pin13 was not powered for me as I had left a connector disconnected..... There is a earth connector above the fuse box on the a-pillar, with loads of earth wires connected. You may have dislodged one of these. Earth for indicators is direct to the battery. Does the hazard lights work? \Paddy
  13. These can be got new from vwheritage for £38.40
  14. Are they a requirement for a mot? In Ireland they aren't required for a NCT(national car test), so we can just cover they in black tape and they won't be tested. That won't help you get them working though.... If you supply 12v to pin 3 white/yellow pin on the fog switch it should light the lights. If they light up then the issue is the switch, relay or earth. Pin 5 (grey/yellow) on the switch is the power from the relay, so if there is power there then the relay is fine.
  15. I'd also be worries about the steering uj boot melting. And also the steering rack getting damaged, including boiling the power steering fluid. Do you have the original downpipe? Or could you wrap or ceramic coat the manifold?
  16. What engine is it? If the car isn't driveable currently it could take a few weeks to sell and you would be without a car during that time if you need the cash to buy a replacement car. You would also prob loose money when selling it. It may be cheaper and quicker to repair it. Either with a new head or with a complete replacement engine. Maybe post a wanted add on here for a head or complete engine and get a price from the garage for the labour if you can't complete the work yourself. \Paddy
  17. Can you send pics? I'll send you a pm.
  18. If there is a mint set I'll take them. \Paddy
  19. The handles are not included in that ebay ad. Just the levers to make the passat handle work with the corrado door lock. \paddy
  20. You got a link to them on heritage? \Paddy
  21. For reference, I have one from a 2.0 16v and the part number is 1H2 614 117 A
