  1. I’ll take the Storm photo and press sheet please. PM'd What is the date of the brochure with the red VR6 grill badge, 92 or 93?
  2. As several others say above, you’ll miss it and regret selling. I sold mine back in 2008, then regretted it every time I saw a Corrado until I bought my current one last year. Simply put, there is no other car like it - it’s the car I wanted as a teenager and simply couldn’t afford (or insure) it back in the 90’s. I absolutely love Corrado and wouldn’t want anything else sat in the garage. The only real downside nowadays is part availability and cost, I wish I could still walk into the Stealers and order any part. Frustratingly I got rid of some parts I really wish I’d kept.. however several people on here and CCGB have been massively helpful. I also struggle to find time, but it’s a long term project for me. So, another vote for KEEP IT!!
  3. Lol - I had one of those cassette holders many years ago - utterly pointless, but nice and retro. Wish I'd kept my last Rado, it had near perfect black leather Recaro... error.
  4. In fairness, I spoke to the chap and he seemed a genuinely nice bloke. When he first put them up for sale (along with his late cloth Recaro and blue Storm) I don't think he was looking for that much, but he had people quickly offering him £400+ but didn't want to ship overseas. I suspect he would consider a sensible offer, bearing in mind I think the dials are BNIB and include everything you need such as the sender etc. That said, I seem to remember a set of dials going on eBay for about 2 seconds before they were bought for about £200ish early this year - or did I imagine that? No good to me, I have an early interior...
  5. I remember bumping into you at G-Werks many years ago when you had your Storm admiring the Shrick you had on it. Any how, I really enjoyed reading this thread - loving your work - what a car!! I met a chap called Mark at Harewood this year, he recently bought N100VSR with (unsurprisingly) a VSR under the bonnet - if only VW had stuck them in all Corrado VR6... damm you VW for cutting corners!! I look forward to future updates. regards, James
  6. What a shocker, gutted for you. I'm interested in the parcel shelf (assuming it's black) and possibly 288 front brake set up if branty doesn't go for them. Please pm prices. Thanks
  7. Bump - anyone? I thought this would be relatively easy to find with the number of interiors I've seen being broken up.
  8. There are plenty of good words said about The Phirm on this forum. The guys (Tim, Paul and Rob) are absolutely spot on. Not only do they really know their VAG, they couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Furthermore, their new workshop in Camberley is really easy to get to, just 5 mins off M3. If you need a VW specialist to look after your pride & joy - I highly recommend them.
  9. Drove past this sorry state yesterday. 2 flat tyres, with more rot than solid metal - check out the big hole around the indicator. Such a shame, would have been stunning at one point, but now destined for the big scrapyard in the sky. There appears to be plenty of parts worth salvaging so I left my number (it may already be someone's parts car?) What other rotten Corrado have people seen lying around ??
  10. I'm looking for a replacement dashpot - 034133283. Mine is no longer rising smoothly as the throttle plate rotates. Ideally looking for a new part, so if someone has one lying around, or knows where I can find one, please PM me. Alternatively, if anyone is breaking a VR and has got a throttle body with a working dashpot, please PM me.
  11. Arghhhh.... Snapped the lever on my driver seat for tipping it forward to get into back seats - has anyone got a spare lying around for sale? I'm also looking for a replacement seat foam for base of driver's seat. Must be in good condition.
  12. Putting the 2 scrapers side by side, I think the suggestion to scan the driver's side (535837474A) and flip it should work. If that doesn't work, I may be willing to lend you a passenger side scraper (535837473A) so long as it comes back to me in the same brand new condition. Before anyone asks, the scraper is not for sale... hen's teeth :-) Regards, James
  13. Big shout to the guys at The Phirm, finally worked out what my clonk noise was... Really simple, when the exhaust was cold there were no problems, but as the exhaust got hot and expanded it moved backwards and started banging up against the 13mm nut on the clamp (see photo). The solution was to move the exhaust back a little bit and reclamp, which has stopped the clonk noises - winner!!
  14. Chris, Have you got a spare plastic lever for tipping front driver seat forward (standard seats) so you can get to back seats, inexplicably mine has snapped off. I'm going to Harewood House and will hopefully catch you there. Regards, James
  15. Lol. When the Corrado was still ‘modern’ I used to drive much more enthusiastically, now the Corrado is on the cusp of classic status I’ve slowed right down and enjoy the admiring looks! (I also often have my kids in the car)
  16. Hi, assuming you are looking for 535823555 (metal trumpet with screw, the one without a screw is obsolete), I recently ordered brand new ones from VW Heritage. They were showing as out of stock for ages, then I noticed they were back in stock at VW classic parts. https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/nippel-db4b71.html Hope that helps
  17. I've decided that I’ll only miss it, so decided to keep my Corrado for now. At least I can go to Harewood House 👍
  18. Yanmack - I’m now swamped with work and don’t have time to collect anytime soon.
  19. I’ve had a set of those fog protectors from Renewart since last year. Positives - they are well made, look smart and have kept lights safe. Negatives - not cheap and suckers have failed a couple of times, but there is nothing else out there. Surely some clever person can come with a good solution??
  20. If you need it now, I’m more than happy to step back. I was going to keep it as a spare in case I ever had an encounter with the Geriatric Club. Regards,
  21. Might be interested, where are you?
  22. They are from a press pack for the launch of the Corrado, from memory 1989 I can photocopy the VW info sheets from the press pack for the person who buys them
  23. What FB sites are people looking at? Out of curiosity, I had a quick look on FB last night for the first time in years - didn’t realise there were so many Corrado related sites. That said, I stand by my previous comment that FB is full of loads of #*!? Still rate Forum over everything else - big thanks to admins 👍
  24. Another vote for the forum, I got utterly bored of FB. FB was good at first, but then became full of people that feel the need to constantly tell the world how great their lives are... yawn! I love reading some of the old build threads on the forum, just a shame that so many photos appear to have been lost.
