  1. Lol - I saw June, but completely missed 2017... DONKEY
  2. Magnecor are great, but expensive. So I went for some Bosch leads from Heritage, currently 30% off - £91. So far, so good. https://www.vwheritage.com/905qht020-bosch-ignition-lead-set-for-vr6-vw-spare
  3. Hi, Getting rid of some duplicates. £10 for both press photos delivered. More stuff to follow.
  4. If still available I’ll take 2 sets (4 rollers). Thanks
  5. I’d be interested on feedback or advice, this job is on my list of things to do.
  6. I have to say I’m very pleased with the protectors I bought from you last year. Last thing I want is cracked headlights! As you have some left, I might buy a spare set, just in case... I’ll pm you.
  7. I have a set of perspex indicator/fog protectors that I bought from a bloke on Facebook. They provide really good protection, the only issue are the suckers that fix the protectors to the lens are not great. I suggest something that fixed around the back of the fog light bracket and indicator would be better and more secure. Surely some clever person (Rob?) can come with a solution? I’m sure they’d sell like hot cakes at a sensible price.
  8. I may be an outlier, but I had factory-fit Recaro in my last Corrado and didn't like them. They are wider than the standard seat and didn't hold you as well when driving enthusiastically. Also being wider, they rubbed a little on the centre tunnel when sliding forward/back. Whilst I am at it, I'm not entirely sold on old school leather - it looks great, but it flipping burns the back of your legs on a hot day! I have standard cloth interior on my Corrado and have to say, I'm liking it :-) I'm sure other will disagree?
  9. I never thought I’d actually envy someone over a set of alloy wheels, but those BBS are flipping special!!! So I’ve bought a lottery ticket, fingers crossed, it’s pretty much a done deal ;-) (I equally like Chris’ 17” Compomotives, they look the part!)
  10. Yep, exactly the same, a fairly solid 'clonk' noise. Can't think what else it can be - I've emptied the boot area and it definitely comes from passenger side at the back. Never seem to get clonk noise when driving in a straight line, which is why I wonder if it is the rear beam under load on corners, combined with the suspension compressing for a bump in the road? I'd be interested in any other theories.
  11. SNAP!!! I have exactly the same issue. I have a Magnex backbox and suspension is dropped by about 40mm. I get a knock when I hit any bumps whilst cornering or on roundabouts. I'm convinced its the exhaust hitting the rear beam when its under load, but no obvious signs of rub and everything seems tight and as it should be. I'm not worrying about it.
  12. My sister had a T5 about 10 years ago and clocked up 280k miles driving down to Southern France and back - faultless. For a car that big and heavy, it shifted surprisingly quick :-)
  13. Great day out and thank you to Ron and everyone else for organising. Car was absolutely minging, covered in dust, but who cares, I had a great 2 hour drive home enjoying a large McDonalds milkshake - winner!!
  14. What is the best adhesive to bond a stainless steel washer to hard plastic (headlight back)? I tried Arraldite epoxy resin, having roughed up the plastic surface, and it didn’t give a strong bond, resulting in the washer pinging off.
  15. Elliot, it’s yours. I’ll bring it to Stanford Hall. Regards, James (I’ll be in a K reg, Flash Red VR6)
  16. Another job added to the long list - those calipers look 'sparkly' brand new!! Nice one. It sometimes surprises me just how good some of Halfords' products actually are, plus they do a decent trade discount :-)
  17. I'm selling a Corrado VR6 (Dark Blue) Revell Model for £40 + P&P on eBay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142771302875?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Unfortunately no box. I'll take £35 + £6.05 P&P from forum members. Payment by Paypal friend/relative payment please. I can also bring it to Stanford Hall on 6 May 18 for £35 cash and save you the P&P. Regards, James
  18. If there is such a thing as Corrado 'porn' I think those photos of your engine bay are it :-) That looks proper fast. I'm now going to have a read of your build thread - nice one!
  19. I had a big gap since selling my last Corrado back in 2008, but great to be back behind the wheel of a VR6. The only downside is availability and cost of some spares - but the guys on the forum have been pretty helpful. All things considered, it’s definitely worth it :-) Good luck with the hunt
  20. Hi, Long shot, but does anyone have a spare headlight adjuster - 535941297 ?? Alternatively, a headlight rear section with an adjuster in it that is still in one piece? Tried to gently adjust mine for MOT and the white base bit exploded into 10 pieces... If not, does anyone have any good suggestions (I've seen the 30mm washer & 6mm square nut solution suggested by sam1990rhodes, which seems a good option). Thanks in advance, James
  21. Having been away from Corrados for nearly a decade, I’m actually surprised just how low the prices of Corrado still are. Admittedly I’m not a fan of white, but the point being Corrado are flipping awesome and many people love them. People regularly stop me and tell me how much they used to love Corrado. So how come Fast Fords and Audi of a similar vintage are sky rocketing in price, yet Corrado have barely gone up? The only thing that seems to have gone up is the price of Corrado spare parts, which is fuelling more and more being broken for spares. Maybe it’s time for the average price of a Corrado to go up bit?
  22. Might be interested. Can you pm more details.
  23. Unfortunately my German is somewhat limited, but then again I was always better with books that had lots of pictures. This book is a lot smaller and not to the same standard as Das Grosse Buch, but a worthwhile addition to any collection. As above, most of the Corrado chapter is focused on G60.
  24. ‘What’s a Corrado???!!!' - how funny... I’ve had young kids ask me, but at least my local main dealer parts bloke has a Corrado himself and is pretty helpful. Good luck with brake bias.
