nasty, shame people cant see what there doing and react to things. not as if the C is the smallest of all objects. BUT at least you are getting it sorted under insurance, could be alot worse could of happened when it was just parked up somewhere and you wouldnt have a clue who had done it
-
what arch work etc have you had to do, or do you just live with the catching? :) reason i ask is i have gone for 9" for the rear just wondering what would need doing
-
i like it, as you say tho maybe the rear one was a bit ott, but end of the day you can pull it off and get it redone in blue! like the wheels. and what widths did you go for? are they 9" all round? Looking good, will keep an eye out for it at this years shows!

Me my girlfriend and a couple of mates went on a random mission today! To.......Goathland! near whitby lol. This is the set for Heartbeat. stopped on the way to get a couple of pics and here are some of them :) any of you that watch heartbeat will like this one :D we asked the bloke if we could park outside his shop for a photo and he said yea! :D now my only question is, do i colour code the grill or dont bother, i cant make my mind up. im thinking yea but then again thinking no :? :D

if you want to keep the orig shelf the only thing i can think is that you strengthen it up a bit!, maybe put a piece of MDF in the recess on the shelf cit the 6x9 holes out and mount em from underneath on that, then cover the whole lot, the shelf shouldnt buckle because the mdf wont move that much :)

need some bits that are still gonan be black on the car, due to the fact your tyres will always be back and so will your seals etc. i would say take off the rubstrips and leave the tailgate black and the mirror bases black, think they just break it all up a bit, put it this way, you can always paint them later, will struggle more to take them back to black. :) - i personally would leave them black but obviously its upto you

my rc car has 940bhp per tonne :D and revs to 40,000rpm 8) check me out, given it is like 1:16 scale, :D lol, does scale 1/4 mile in 2.7 seconds tho its the Schumacher 23 XT-R 3E, rwd so its got no control but goes like chuff once going :D http://www.racing-cars.com/images/Techn ... kinner.jpg

this is the only one i have, to me it just looks as if its not sitting right, as i say if it looks right then thats fine ill just have to stick it in a bit better, then ill have to decide if i wanna spray it or leave it this colour before i stick it down :)

if you just want it to be stealth, as said before, build up the shelf a bit from underneath and screw the speakers in from bottom to top, so they sat under the shelf, then cover over the top of the shelf. :) if pulled tight enough you cant tell there are speakers there

are the bits over the headlights stuck on, i dont suppose you drill into the headlights, and i kno im gonna have to take off the headlight protectors lol :? , dont suppose you have any pics from the top looking into the engine bay, smashed or not, i presume both sides were done the same so if i can picture it on one side i can gues the other, was it pretty sturdy or did it move about, the 2 bits that you said were L brackets are just like pieces that slot in downwards :? hehe thanx guys!

MOT Time! Well it sounded like it would be a good time! took it into the MOT station, got a phonecall back, needs a track rod end and a bottom ball joint, thought yes easy change over and cheap MOT, not bad for a 135k car :D went to pick it up the day after to hear the bad news, it had taken nearly 2 hours to get the TRE off, B/j was done BUT they couldnt track it up, was showing +15degree camber, muchos badness, first impressions of the mechanic were its had the wrong rack fitted to it at some point during its life, chop down the rack and refit to retrack the car. Got a call the following day the rack WAS correct BUT whoever had fitted it had fitted it 2" to the side, explaining why it turned right like a london taxi but left like an oil tanker. took nearly another 2 hours to put it back central, track it and remot it ready for me to collect. all in all £192 bill. Smeg!, but i suppose i can look it at as the fact it only did fail on the TRE and BBJ and that th rest was some donut not being able line up a steering rack properly. ( btw before someone says its harder than you think im sure it is but if your gonna do a job do it properly hey!?) lol. anyways it back on the road now and im skint so i cant afford the coilovers for another couple of weeks! meh
-
afaik if they are they they HAVE to work for mot purposes, but as i say. i might bw wrong thats just what i thought :)
-
Has anyone got a pic of theres fitted from the front, side and how they have attached it, i got mine and put it on but it just doesn't look fitted right, maybe its just me but i wanna be sure ive got it on right lol btw mines a 94 VR if it makes any difference :) ta :)

Advice on fitting my ICE back into a stripped out rear?
Philuk replied to Jay2's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
what ever you do, no matter what it is, make sure its bolted down securely, trust me i kno from first hand experience it hurts having a sub & box and other things hitting you in the back if you have an accident, plua if it all stays in one spot you dont brake it all as badly lol -
hiya welcome to the forum :D

Robbed from a post on VR6oc

i would presume that it would stop it a bit, but putting the car on stands stops the shockers sticking. would of thought overinflating would stop flatspots more than under???
-
car getting MOT as we speak, needed one bottom ball joint and one track rod end, now i get the bits and the garage fit em, goto track it and its showing +15% camber on both sides. if ya look at it from the front you can see the camber on em. the garage have said that the track rods are screwed as far in as they can be and the only thing they can think is that the steering rack has been done but a rack from a golf or another model has been used. they can cut the rack down and get the camber right but i was just wondering, has anyone else had the same problem or used a rack from another car and had to chop it? Thanks

i didnt realise they were that deep to be honest! i remember coming down a steep hill near me - Staxton Hill - this has one at the bottom and there was a family having a picnic on the gravel trap , donuts!

try put it on axel stands as to stop any flat spotting of the tyres, and if its gonna be for ages you might wanna drain the oil as to stop it going mankey. depends how long you gonna leave it tho, im sure i read something on VR6oc about storing over winter will have a look and get back to ya
