  1. Looks really nice and clean inside, clearly had regular oil changes Good work :)
  2. The hub that the disc sits on should be completely clean and free of any un-evenness or that could cause the discs to distort quite quickly Or the hub(s) could themselves be distorted Just had this problem on my Bmw with 3 sets of discs being warped in 20k miles so changed the hubs a couple of weeks ago too, hopefully sorted now.
  3. I have personally never had any issues with filling or bleeding Vr engines on any I have owned or worked on, just run up to temp topping up as it circulates , maybe I have just been lucky ?! It sounds like possibly circulation problems to me, maybe thermostat jammed shut or water pump impellers broken or corroded.

    Panel filters

Removing the intake trumpet on the standard airbox gives a little extra intake noise without the full on BMC roar! not sure about a K and N panel filter making much difference though

    Hiatus

Welcome back, good luck with your search :)
  6. I experienced a mild tremor when I was skiing in Italy a few years ago, it was 3 am and pretty frightening, didn't sleep for the rest of the night!
  7. That does sound scary, hope it doesn't come to anything, Italy has had more than its share recently Very tragic:(
  8. Wendy ? Rushing back to get her car cleaned :)
  9. I drove one a few years ago and remember It certainly wasn't boring! It absolutely flew ,though wasn't so great handling. I quiet liked it, on the downside I remember the cam belt change was a pig of a job and of course Fiat quality
  10. I believe they all had it from around 94/95 on, Could probably be confirmed as faulty with vag com, I think they can be removed but it's usually the transceiver ring around the ignition barrel that plays up
  11. Hack it off yes, get Paul to do it though That's what husbands are for !
  12. Sounds like a typical factory imobiliser fault
  13. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. So that's it for this year :( Sorned now for a while , removed the RS's today for cleaning and winter storage and refitted the Speedlines. Have to say I think it looks great on them too with the coilovers 8)
  15. I had mine around the same time as Delfinis38, they were a snug fit and have been fine (double sided tape used also) Maybe there is some inconsistency with the thickness of the trims ?
  16. Welcome back , I wish I had kept my 46m longer than I did , keep finding myself looking at them again. How do you find the smg ? I wasn't a fan of the manual box I had

    ABS pump vr6

My experience with them and my ABS pump wasn't great either. They sent a 'recon' unit after saying mine was beyond repair, I fitted it and it still had a valve fault so had to remove it and send it back for them to sort it out. It took ages though it was all ok in the end. Strange thing is I have used them for lots of other things over the years with work and they have been very good. Trouble is where else do you go ?!
  18. sounds like you have a good case in your favour Rob, best of luck with it.
  19. I have one 8) 10 hundred thousand pounds please ;)
  20. When I sold my last car(2 yrs ago now) my 2 boys and I had a couple of final pictures taken with it on the day the new owner drove it away,it was a sad day.My youngest who was around 4 yrs at the time asked me if we would see it again ? I said no and then had to hide in my garage as I had a tear or two in my eye , they were very attached to it, however they did forget about it quite quickly and embraced the replacement m3 very happily !
  21. The starter motor , if faulty would only make any noise while cranking the engine on start up ? How long does the noise last? it could be the starter motor hanging on but that would only last a second or two after the engine has started
  22. I don't have any experience with vag com or Ross tech but with my Snap on diagnostics and other machines I have had there is no way of retrieving previous faults on a car , once the faults have been cleared that's it , gone , assuming the fault has been rectified on the vehicle.
  23. Pm,d I'm unable to collect but would be interested if you could post Thanks Daren .
