thanks Jamie i will look into the body tape to put the gf's back on if i were to remove some again i would use your technique - its kinda like how ive seen windscreen people get bonded screens out - & agree the amount of caution using heat it extreme. that said it is easily possible if you take your time
-
could you expand a little on the above pls Jamie? ive not heard of either
-
excellent update thank you love the pics & the videos must prove very useful for you to assess yourself & the car great having the rear view in the corner too & that really showed the part your on about regarding braking zones & where the understeer kicks in oh how it makes me want a go tho lol

act with lots of care Jim!! use either a heat gun (even more care required) or a hair dryer to gently warm the strip & then ease it away from the body as the glue softens it is extremely easy to apply too much heat - which could obviously bubble paint work the adverse is very easy, in that not enough heat & the glue could take some paint with it i managed to get all of them off the blackberry ok until the last one & despite major care i still lifted a 5p size chunk of paint off im not sure what is best to stick them back on tho, anyone? ive tried super tacky double sided stuff on the gf's & that lasted a day or two :(
-
yes chuggs, very happy indeed!! if i hadnt been ill all last week & then busy turning my outhouse into a workshop the weekend prior i would have taken the videos ive mentioned i must do it though as i want to share.....the noise on engine fire up, how it sounds as you progress up the revs (hopefully this will show the way the sound moves from the back end of the car to the front as the exhaust quietens & the BMC/engine sound takes over) & also the lovely burbles im getting on down shifts :D plus i need to get the autosol on it as its filthy already lol

no wayne not really think he means if lots of oil in throttle body then it could be that which is at fault, or something in that area, whereas is not much in the TB then it could be pointing to your valve stem seals leaking personally i would check the TB as sean says but also top up your oil & then monitor the usage daily & record how many miles its done in the testing period. also, are you sure it is blue tint smoke? is there any feel of oil in the smoke or residue on the exhaust exit? i found that my old CAT used to billow white smoke until it got rid of the excess moisture it was holding due to age. so much so stealth said it looked like a turbo'd car where the turbo had failed lol having had the longlife exhaust system with sport CAT installed i barely get any smoke at all now

Oh my word this panjo cr4p is absoluteley awful!! First time trying to use it & never again 30 minutes trying to send a payment WTF!? Panjo says im outside of US & errors on post code sometimes it lets me through to payment but then says my paypal account doesnt have enough funds, despite it being linked to my bank account then when i try to pay by card the page initially loads a payment screen with option for card info but then switches to a 'create paypal account' page stonejag - ive PM'd you & im sorry but i cant get the payment to go through. i shall await your PM with info thanks -

this is the buyers guide i referred to in the other thread m8 http://wiki.the-corrado.net/the_corrado_buying_guide_checklist.html
-
really it is down to personal choice cressa have a good read of the buying guides on here & maybe see if there are any members close to you & be cheeky & ask for a looksee & passenger ride personally i have a 1.8 16v & a VR & have to say i love both for what each offers also, again personally, i wouldnt be too put off about the chains etc on VR's as you will have a similar trade off with a G60 as the chargers need rebuilding IIRC a charger would nee rebuilding more often than a VR chains need doing - for example i only had my chains done at about 152K when i asked stealth to do a top end rebuild

that is exactly what i wasnt sure of wullie & ha ha ha that'll learn em lol

Yup thats the one. Also, mystic blue is the single storm only colour ;) -
hmmm good question when i raise it manually before washing the car, engine not running & using the dash button, & then go for a drive i think, IIRC, that it normally remains in the up position until you first start to brake & then it lowers (or you use the button to lower it) i dont recall it lowering itself as soon as the car is started after cleaning but then i cant remember if it doesnt lower until you have exceeded the 'raise' speed & then slowed down also no idea if there is a reset function but would be nice to know

nice pics thank you
