  1. good luck andy my valver is taking more than i had hoped to get it back on the road but hoping that will have a MOT by next week oh & from my experience the change in ride is superb once you have managed to work your way round replacing all the running gear, wishbone bushes & rear beam bushes etc ;)
  2. When my friend used to travel a lot with work he would text me occasionally when he had a rado spot - he would always laugh & tell people 'they are rarer than a ferrari you know, ive seen loads of them today but zero rado's' lol BUT Rog feel free to drop in at mine when you pass this way again, ive 3 on the drive so you can have a multiple spot in one go ;)
  3. agree Jim apologies also for my wording, poor not terrible is more applicable & has been edited accordingly i am also a believer that life should take priority over work & DG may have a good reason for whats happening. i hope for those of who had a good rapport with DG there is some light shed soon
  4. I have never used DG but i would agree with you Jim & ozowen & anyone else who used them frequently. it is poor customer service & must be a bit of a kick in the teeth to those who thought they had a good working relationship with DG However, my only contact with the company consisted of a single phone call when i called to ask them about the headlight loom & tidy box they started to produce......i was greeted with a very abrupt, completely disinterested & grumpy 'we dont do them' suffice to say i never bothered to call them again when i wanted all my engine work done on the VR even though they were closer in distance than stealth
  5. Hi Mike Just a quick post to say ive sent an email with the document for a quote on my 1.8 16v

  8. K m8 - thought id shout it just in case agree definitely better to fix the current if you can
  9. wayne have you seen this door handle in the for sale section? http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=90514
  10. ha ha good spot why cant they just write a normal advert instead of making themselves look like fools to those who know
  11. why is it they always get their facts wrong when pushily advertising lol
  12. yeee haarrr! thats the puppy! i go the long way most time the sun is out & the roads are dry, 20 miles to my local corner shop i will have you know ;) pmsl how were your oil & water temps m8? handle can be sorted & hopefully the gearbox oil refresh will help the crunch - have you fitted the short shifter yet? i found that took away much of the sloppyness in gear stick feel & stopped my occassional 2nd to 2rd crunch when booting it PS did you know there is a programmable intermittent wiper function? ;)
  13. nice wayne mmmm they do look good in white!! a big reason i brought my valver back :D have you driven it yet? whats the verdict?
  14. yeah i suppose, good point jim. my valver is on a 3k classic policy but with zero NCB, as that is used on the VR, & it was only about £180 ish it just sounded odd that someone much younger than me, with less NCB would pay so much less on the VR hey ho its done for another year now so not to worry this is also due for renewal very soon so lets see how much my 1 yr NCB helps
  15. now im questioning my renewal with flux a couple of weeks ago 38, 12 yrs NCB, no claims, no points, all mods declared £385 which now comparing to other on this thread seem way too high
  16. nor me Jim when i moved house last year the new postcode area had traditionally always been regarded as 'less risk' then the previous when i called flux & then HIC to change my details for each rado one place said there would be a slight discount due to the new postcode & the other a slight increase as it was a higher risk WTF!! plus - they, the insurer, will ALWAYS do whatever they can to not pay out a crazy example of such, & has to be one of the most insanely stupid i have ever read......is a woman was hit head on by a car in which the driver had fallen asleep. it totalled her car, obviously, & injured her. IIRC the co-op insurer was trying to play the ultimate T's & C's horsehit such that he were refusing to pay out because the 'driver can not be held responsible for their actions as they were asleep at the time' forgive me but surely that is driving without due course & attention & the person should be prosecuted - quite how the insurer could say that i have no idea. it is wrong morally & ethically plus years ago peoples insurance premiums would normally decrease year on year due to the accumulated NCB - however all i ever hear now when it is renewal time is that premiums have gone up yet again for one bull**** reason or other excuse sorry for the rant
  17. good plan im gona have to sign in from home this evening just to read your thoughts after collection lol & yes a stress ball, you dont want to be doing anything silly when you have only just got it back & in the driving seat
  18. im sure he will think of some suitable stress relief once he has paid up & is finally driving it ;)
  19. some wheel swapping round for you soon then sean ;) i had to double take & recheck a few times when putting all 4 BBS's on the valver & ended laying them by each corner prior to fitting lol
