  2. you could try checking the elec window controller box which is behind the driver side rear passenger door card IIRC i have read about a loose connection to such causing windows to not work but that didnt mention a fuse blowing

true - pictures or posts in the wrong place is not a big deal - however, the way in which you feel you can conduct yourself on here & how you speak to fellow members (who just happen to be site admins) is a big deal & totally unacceptable
  4. WOW!!!! what a beautiful piece of machinery :D what engine is in there? is it the small block V8? the condition looks excellent Paul - how much of a resto job was it?

the phrase 'no need' comes to mind! we dont need people with such mindsets on here - mods take the appropriate action pls
  6. Hi Mike Thanks for the prompt reply & the contact address. I have sent the document from my hotmail account & mentioned yourself, this forum & my forum user ID in the email body. I look forward to receiving your quote. thanks andy
  7. Hi Mike I have sent HIC, Chris Knott & Prestige a word document with all of the necessary information for them to quote me for a policy on my VR6. Am i able to do the same with yourself please? Thanks Andy
  8. Morning Tim Still no email quote received. Are they able to issue it without a phone conversation, as per the competitors have? I am trying to wrap this up this week. FYI i will also be needing a quote for a classic policy on my valver within the next month & my gf's storm is also up for renewal in that same period. Thus lots of potential business here m8 ;) Thanks
  9. hello Jon - always nice to see new owners / members make yourself at home :)
  10. low rev exhaust noise is getting quieter, not that is was overly loud but i like the sound the BMC gives the engine from upfront ive not heard a single knock so far & it seems very solidly mounted & fabricated. my VR is lowered on KWV1's with their standard spring rate so it can be bumpy on our god awful pot holes joined by thin strips of tarmac, or roads some people call them ;) i am very much liking the way that as you build up the rev range it moves from a nice exhaust burble from the rear & then as rev's pass 3000 ish the noise switches to the front & lets the BMC sing also, cruising at 70 on highways & all is quiet as a mouse hopefully i can get some pics up soon & take a video or 2 :D
  11. quick update as time at the weekend had to be spent doing things on the house but all is still very good low rev exhaust noise is getting quieter, not that is was overly loud but i like the sound the BMC gives the engine from upfront ive not heard a single knock so far & it seems very solidly mounted & fabricated. my VR is lowered on KWV1's with their standard spring rate so it can be bumpy on our god awful pot holes joined by thin strips of tarmac, or roads some people call them ;) i am very much liking the way that as you build up the rev range it moves from a nice exhaust burble from the rear & then as rev's pass 3000 ish the noise switches to the front & lets the BMC sing also, cruising at 70 on highways & all is quiet as a mouse hopefully i can get some pics up soon & take a video or 2 :D
  12. Rog those pics are great to see! truly industrial sized engineering thank you :)
  13. happy to help :) FYI i have also used it on the tops of my door rubbers when the weather is very cold - it helps stop the doors freezing shut
  14. that they do Rog BUT there is also a very good alternative via ebay for £7 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Liqui-Moly-Silicone-Grease-100g-3312-/221336236084 i got some on recommendation from Kev Beercan a while back ;)
  15. Hi m8 Could you please chase up the quote for me? I have received those from HIC & Chris Knott but not from Prestige Thanks

  18. i had a C64 and an amiga 500 - the latter of which is in my parents loft along with boxes of hundreds of games! i thinkn about setting it up now & then but think my old quickshot joysticks are broken & im unsure where to get a replacement (maybe i could just swap the microswitch like we used to lol) IIRC the C64 came with Zaxxon which was a very erly shoot em up agree Lemmings was superb Wullie! i had a christmas special version where they were all wearing little santa outfits & the background was all fairy lights & snowmen etc personal amiga favourite/s were: super cars 2 mega-lo-mania monkey island 1 & 2 damn it im gona have to go up in the parents loft very soon!
  19. very kind of you to make a point of stating such Dougie :D
  20. I have located the document i completed last year & have amended it & sent it to [email protected], who was the person who sent me the quote last year, and also [email protected].
  21. Hi Martin I have forwarded you the quotation document via email again. Look forward to your help
  22. welcome why would your rado ownership come to an end so soon after joining us on here?
  23. indeed i agree. also, when you bear in mind it is a custom fabrication on the car rather than an 'out the box' solution & the fact Paul spent 7.5 hours doing so to ensure optimum results i think it gives good VFM i recall the powerflow system i had installed on my 16v many years ago took about 3.5 hours BMC to fabricate & cost me £300 but that is 1990 & thus pre-cat. fortunately it was still present when i brought the valver back last year :)
  24. ha ha ha thanks, it duly raised a smile!
