just had a quick check on the site i used for my last bridgestones for you..... bridgestone 205/45 R16 87W BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE002 FZ @ £95.22 each fitted at your door by http://www.event-tyres.co.uk they are not quite what the old SO2's or 3's used to be but having experienced a range of tires on the VR (michelin, avon, continental to name a few)personally it would take a lot to get me to not fit bridgestone's -
:D :D :D brilliant!!!

bridgestone all the way is my recommendation - you pay the price but get the desired results -

g0ldf1ng3r replied to bristolbaron's topic in Ebay and Misc
hi bristol are the grilles for late or early models? the tabs look like one of each maybe? -
welcome :)
-
what flavour rado do you have? edit - ahhh, im guessing from user name that its a G60, thus kind of rendering my line below useless lol i know vince from stealth did live mapping whilst on the rollers for my VR - IIRC the VR has an open circuit ECU rather than closed circuit like in new golfs etc
-
sad news billcor :(
-
admins will prolly move it to the 'breakers' section ;) what grill is on it, early or late? I need an early grille with badge, do you have one? if so are all tabs etc in place & what is the condition like? thanks edit - pm sent too

it is possible for the oil temp sensor connector to become corroded & this can result in spurious reading on the dash - i had this issue when my VR had its work at stealth & was getting ridiculous readings it should be easy to tell if you pull the connector off the sensor & check the wires are ok & the inside is not corroded -

done - fingers crossed! -
glad to be of assistance jim, am please we helped i had 263's fitted by vince during my head rebuild & can happily say that those coupled with a BMC & a 'vince special map' my VR now feels super smooth & responsive & grunty throughout the rev range :D
-
Jim - it could be to do with the gains versus costs i believe gas flowing, lightening, balancing etc can be all very costly tasks but realistically do not produce gains that are worth the expense. i to asked about if i should have my VR head gas flowed when i had my work done at stealth & vince said there was no point as i wouldnt see the benefit plus, i guess its all in perspective too - IE if someone is rebuilding to produce as much power as possible (with turbo, over sized pistons, uprated injectors, straight through exhaust with decat blah de blah de blah) then maybe having everything lightened, balanced & flowed could help achieve 'slightly' higher figures but if its a standard rebuild the associated costs outwiegh the advantages

Good move Mr_Rossy! i used to have issues with 2nd to 3rd changes when on full throttle but since fitting one of daves short shifter i no longer occasionally have a crunchie :D im definitely getting one for the gf's storm & another for my valver when funds allow
-
Your right Jim it has - forza 3 had full tuning/mod options too including switching to 4WD & transplanting the 3.2 from the R32 I believe forza 4 made you start with the VR too but they reduced the tuning options
