I have a set of roose on my VR, no issues with them & Vince at Stealth was very impressed with their quality when he fitted them EDIT: one piece of advice I would recommend based on my personal experience would be to NOT order the jubilee clips & use the standard VW constant pressure clips.
-
thanks m8 it would be appreciated. if I could afford it I would like to put V3's on the VR & swap the V1's to the valver but no way I can fund them for quite a while. VR paint must come first
-
goldie if you 'bin' your KW's could you give me a heads up about them when you do pls ;) lol valver suspension is definitely on the soggy side

nice 1 chuggs! how did you wangle that? -
ok jim thanks I only live a few miles down the road & work in Shirley, so as stones throw from the NEC if I put the bonnet up on the VR it looks fantastic ;) lol the blue magnatec leads going on next week will compliment the roose hoses aesthetically I will have a chat with the gf & let you know asap

Hi Jim Couple of questions if I may pls (I did check the link but couldn't see the info) Is CCGB membership required? what are the ticket costs? What time do the cars need to be dropped off by on the Friday? does it matter what 'state' the car is in? my VR is a nice example but the paint is micro blistering :(

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
g0ldf1ng3r replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
ordered Fuchs titan race oil for the VR, fuchs titan syn mc for the valver & the gf's lupo thanks to tim at opie oils for the 10% discount & also to the company for free delivery :) lying on cold floors doing oil changes pending! lol with the VR going for MOT next week I really must change the driver wing mirror glass this weekend. an idiot didn't leave enough room on a country lane & cracked the glass when the wing mirrors hit each other. fortunately no damage or marks on the wing mirror itself. I am hoping the blue tinted replacement I got will help reduce being blinded by Chelsea tractor headlights cause I am rather low I also want to get the wheel off each corner & clean my KW's - I looked at them the other week & you can barely see the thread! -
it is an odd one this. I too copied the link you have above from browser & then paste into thread on here. however when you click the link from the thread it goes to a log in page BUT the link wasn't originally copied from a log in page best thing is to just type http://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de or copy that & paste into address bar of browser no log in page that way at it doesn't have some weird redirect going on EDIT: for all those who are unaware - do not order direct from classic parts as their carriage charges are ridiculous. instead order through VW Heritage. it takes 3-4 weeks but if the part, or order, is over £35 they used to give free delivery ;)

oh I see now - I have never noticed that black part before yes just disconnect the 2 halves of the yellow connector & tape each end up
-
hi m8 I am unsure from your description the yellow connector block you mention is the dim dip part which you need to disconnect from each other (ie pull apart) & then tape up to isolate there shouldn't be anything connecting to that block or the wires which feed it the uprated loom wiring should fee into the back of both headlights & then have one wire each side which reconnects into the original loom or headlight plug

lol the very same thing happened on my VR & is still like it - I quite liked the silver look :)

Need a replacement Aerial base and gasket for 95 VR6
g0ldf1ng3r replied to John Blount's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
I recently brought a couple of these soak in some hot water prior to fitting & they just about squeeze over the top of the aerial base http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REPLACEMENT-VW-CORRADO-BORA-ROOF-AERIAL-ANTENNA-RUBBER-GASKET-GROMMET-SEAL-/281611976603?hash=item419161bf9b -
indeed - I like the way it is a blackberry in the pic too :D
-
indeed & what a cracking little synopsis.... But when you can spend less than £5,000 on one of the best front-wheel-drive cars of all time, why would you buy the Audi? The Corrado VR6 is sweet handling, great to look at and offers a glorious soundtrack
-
LOL m8 if you look in the top right corner of the classic page it has a language button you can click so as to set to UK ;) I too struggled navigating the site for parts, it was so much better before they changed it if I was you I would either send AnnaVR6 on here a PM, as she works at Heritage, or call Heritage & ask them to identify the correct part. they will be able to do it from your VIN they will order it from classic in Germany for you, takes about 3-4 weeks EDIT: not sure why that log in page comes up. try going to the classic parts home page, set language to UK & then click into the shop part & on the corrado link on the left hand side

ha ha ha well wouldn't you know I had a quick google to find the place I mentioned but saw this instead http://www.pwmotorsport.com/pr,108,bbs-centre-caps-carbon-with-silver-logo-bbs-56mm,shop,bbs-products,bbs-centre-caps.html genuines, 56mm which I believe is correct, and less than £50 notes EDIT: actually upon looking better it lists the different models of BBS wheels for each centre cap as they differ ;)
-
I too need to do similar ray I have been considering buying some BBS stickers as original options are very expensive someone pointed me in the direction of a tiny company in Germany who does genuines but for the life of me I cant find the info
-
finally found them for you - I really don't like the way classic parts have redone their site, it makes finding parts difficult http://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/en/kotflugel-corrado.html
-
LWS Design are now producing carbon fibre wings but they are not cheap also,i believe you can get new wings from http://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/ but buy them via VW Heritage
-
excellent - no blue lights chasing you then lol look forward to seeing some pictures ;)
-
I agree with the above. though KW are a more expensive solution they are more than worth it but suspension should not be skimped on my current V1's have now done over 50K miles with no issues & I run a similar '2 finger' gap between top of tyre & bottom of wheel arch my only caveat would be that in retrospect I would have put the extra funds to get the V2 version as they are ride adjustable as well as height. alternatively I am aware that Kev Bacon on here knows of an excellent compromise whereby you can request a slightly softer spring rate with the V1's finally, though it was over 5 years ago, I purchased mine direct from KW. I called them up & they matched the best price I could find

ha ha ha, hopefully the former lol
