4. I know it's not a rado but your all so good on here that i thought i would ask My sisters Golf 1.6 Mk 4 got a flat battery last week. They charged up the battery and now the radio is DEAD. It doesn't ask for a code, it wont even flash on, there is no power going to the head unit from what my sister tells me. We have checked all fuses in the fuse box and still no power. Any thoughts?
5. bump... fox dont make these any more so my only hope is second hand.

I hate halfords :( Phoned rimstyle uk who are a whole saler for fox, rs and riva wheels. They where much more helpful but I'm still at a loss as to where to get them. There are loads of people selling the alloys but no one on the internet seems to sell these particular alloys! they must be ancient... ---------- Post added at 01:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:46 PM ---------- Bums... 11. looking for both the oem sun roof lube. part number: G 000 450 02 I think from memory kevhaywire said it was now obsolete. You have some don't you Kev??? And also a centre cap to match this one: From this wheel I can get the fox centre caps off ebay but it's the hub and bolt cover that I'm realy wonting. cheers
12. despite the ferret i managed to wrestle one of the caps off her and brought it to work this morning. And the results... I'm missing a centre cap though so if anyone knows where i can buy one please let me know!
13. if you don't mind the ever so slightly modified shape you can get a set of new g60 steel wheels from vw. Last i heard they where £50 each. The only difference is that the new ones have slightly oval holes while the original have perfectly circular holes. Edit: just checked flea bay, £180 delivered without tyres. and there is a set in Salisbury/reading with almost new toyo tyres for £220 but these are all the "new" type I mentioned http://www.wheel-whores.com/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=3152&title=g60-steelswith-centre-caps-and-nearly-new-tyres&cat=4
14. Got down to preparing my centre caps for their big destiny with my new overlays this evening. I'll spare you the nitty gritty and just give you the pictures... before hub cap separates from the bolt cover. This doesn't need to get sprayed as it will be hidden by the overlay rubbed down primed and sprayed... This is done in reflex silver to match the colour I'm doing my alloys in. Still needs to be rubbed down and given a few coats of lacquer but i'm quite happy with the way it's turning out. Left the overlays at work though so can't fit them tonight and i can't find my wet and dry either to rub down to a high finish... :( I did get some help from a friend of mine though... NO WAIT!
15. I dunno, if you've up'd the power i don't see why it wouldn't toddle along at 70mph at 2500rpm no problem... swapping boxes though I think is a little difficult. However, according to this link here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?45367-Vr6-6-speed-02S-Possible you can swap the gearset and end plate out of an O2S box. might be worth thinking about if you can find a cheep OS2 box... ---------- Post added at 04:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:54 PM ---------- you could also go down the route of a 5th gear change but i only know of the 5th gear swap for a 4 cylinder O2A box http://wiki.the-corrado.net/5th_gear_cog_change.html
16. above... order one through the VW garage.
17. wish i could help yan, those wiring diagrams scare the be-jebus out off me... Good luck with getting all that in! Definitely easier with the interior out and you can do what the auto electricians never do... A good job! as for getting red in the car somewhere.... I used to be really tempted to get red trim here and there... but I eventually decided on getting her re-sprayed in black magic so I might just leave her standard on the outside, the inside internal trim is going grey and red suede/leather and the under bonnet is going black and purple... to match the Kw's im getting. Like sexy purple undies...
18. Hello all! Been quite productive the last few days :smug: First off I made a sandwich Chicken, cirozo, peperoni, hummus, cheddar cheese, lettice and peri peri sauce... FOR THE WIN! :thumbleft: Then I went about fixing my door card. With a little fiberglass I just applied it to the card backing and built up the layers a few at a time. from this: to this to this Doesn't look pretty but it is ALLOT stronger and will stop the card from getting any worse. It will also help i hope with my loose fitting door handle. Next here is an image of the sun i took on my iphone... pretty isn't it. Next job was to get the bumper cleaned up. I took it over to my mates garage and got the bumper iron off the plastic but it still needs a VERY good clean, re-weld and then sand blasting. Don't have any pictures of that so here is a picture of some ladies with loose morals... Another you say??? oh go on then... Nice...:afro: Finally, for those who have been reading the thread form earlier in the year you may remember that I got a very cheep sun roof from a chap in Aberdeen but he didn't know if it works or not. Well, the proof is in the pudding! Got a battery and some wire and tested her last night. closed tilt slide Not bad for less than £10!!! And wait!!! One last thing, for those who care I got some custom centre caps made up for my wheels!!! gel overlays used on modern car badges (like Ford bonnet badges). Look the buisness and totally unique! Ciao for now! xx
