  1. Worth every penny.. It's called 'the bible' in our house.. As in 'fetch the bible, dads having 'devil' problems again'..lol
  2. Yes, real easy, just swap the bits over from your 2.8 to the 2.9, IIRC you will also need to use the 2.8 top chain cover. Get both engines next to each other and it'll be obvious which bits need to be swapped. For info, 2.8 (AAA) and 2.9 (ABV) cams are exactly the same. Rog.
  3. Just had my renewal from Flux, £256 full comp, 11 years NCB, window cover, 6k a year, garaged, alarm, lowered and exhaust.. Just tried Chris Nott and all they can do is match it... Guess I'll try Peter Jones. Rog.
  4. It is indeed sold, just spoke to him... I can't wait to see the replacment. Rog.
  5. I'm fitting a Passat B4 sunroof soon so my old one may be available, also Dan at DDS is currently breaking a G60, it's only up the road from me so I can see if those bits are still on it. Rog.
  6. This is great, nice to see some community spirit. Simular thing happened on the CRX forum a few years ago, the club now has a Honda workshop manual available for download, be good if we can get the same done on here. I've got a scanner here if you want to share the load Jim. Rog.
  7. Nice collection... some serious OCD going on there...lol Rog.
  8. Took 'Stormy' on an epic road trip, up to Nottingham to look round the uni and home again. 527 miles and not a single Corrado spotted, the only decent thing I saw was a white mk2 Golf, got a nice thumbs up so not all lost. So, where are they all hiding? Rog.
  9. Guys, give Dan a ring on the above number if you want anything, tell him Rog sent you. Rog.
  10. Good power figures, what's the engine spec? Rog.
  11. Ignition switch is an easy fix however chains and tensioners are a gearbox off job. Unlike most engines the timing gear on the VR is not on the free end. It's not a bad job if you are handy with the scanners. Rog.
  12. I'm actually quite enjoying the new 5th gear series, I just fast forward the stupid super car tests. Tiff driving his old Formula Ford lotus was quite good, I've read his book and it's actually a good read, he has had an interesting life. Rog.
  13. WTF... I'm sure there are quicker ways to scratch your paint work but that's got to be one of the best. Rog.
  14. Just watched this weeks that I recorded. So they do a 2nd hand hero's section, this week it was hot hatches.. However just before the segment starts there is a little 3 second montage... And guess what... I spotted this. It was bloody hard to spot but yes, there is deffo gojng to be a Corrado featured at some point. Rog.
  15. Ian, I've just had a look at the roof you got me and the code is. 43R-001090 Science's code from his Seat roof was. 43R-001366 So I assume as long as it has 43R in the code then it should be ok for a Corrado. Rog.
  16. If you don't want to pay stealer prices for the air box bands just get some correct size O seals from the bay of e. Rog.
  17. Afternoon chums Quick question for you all. Good friend of mine has decided to sell his R32 and is unsure of what to ask for it. It's a 4 door in silver, absolutely mint condition, no marks on it what so ever, even smells new inside, never been smoked in and he is the 2nd owner and has owned for 10 years. It's only done 32k with a full VW service history. Always kept in a garage and very well looked after, for example he recently lightly scratched one of the wheels so has had them all reconditioned. So fellow VW lovers, what's the 32 worth?? Also, where is the best place for him to sell it? BTW the only reason he is selling is because he has fallen in love with a RS4 for sale locally. Rog.
  18. Looking awesome mate, if this is anything like your last one it will be superb.. Good to see you back in a Corrado mate and hopefully see you at a few shows. Rog.
  19. That's what I thought... Lots of cheaper ones though.. Rog
  20. Loads on ebay.. There is Storm one for £69...
  21. Evening chums, quick one for you all. My volt gauge is under reading by about 1.5 volts, I've had a meter across the battery terminals and get 14.5v with the engine running but the gauge is reading 13. Now I thought that maybe it's just the norm but when I visited the 'Ox' to pick up my sunroof I noticed that his was reading the correct 14 odd volts. So, can these gauges by calibrated? Rog.
  22. I've seen these in the flesh on Ian's car and I must admit there are very good, actually better now than when they were brand new. Well worth the money, this not cheap plating but is aerospace spec that has been done to a high standard. Rog.
  23. Awesome, can't beat a nice Mystic Storm, two thumbs good from the Chatfield. Rog.
