  1. Update... Not done much to old 'Stormy' apart drive it to work most days and I sorted out a few rusty bits, I did think about one getting the car resprayed but I think as its used daily I'll just let it wear it's scars with dignity... however I have got a few winter jobs lined up... A few things gathering dust in the garage to fit.. Passat glass sunroof, TOAD Alarm and finally a nice set SP263's... Watch this space..lol Oh, and it passed its MoT today with no advisories. Rog.
  2. Any chance of a pic mate. Rog.
  3. Afternoon all, One of my sill cover plates is damaged, I've been looking for replacements but they all seem to get damaged when they get removed do looking on the bay I spotted these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Door-sills-VW-Corrado-VR6-Storm-/121140674236?hash=item1c348bfebc What are people opinions?? ok or chavie tat? Rog.
  4. I trashed my nuts (oo er missus) when i removed mine mate, they were just spinning and are a right pain to remove, ended up ruining the bolts as well had I had to cut them to get them off... the plastic bit of the spoiler frame holds the nuts captive and is easily broken... best bet is to give them a good WD40ing for a few days before removal. I repaired mine with some nice counter sunk allen head screws (I'll get you some) and large flat washers, also gave the seal a bead of silicon. Rog.
  5. Spotted today on the A38 heading east just after Trulefort roundabout. About 12.30 ish, lovely blue Corrado, I was in the Kuga so the wave was totally wasted....lol Rog.
  6. I've just had a rummage in the garage and found a 6 wire mad sensor. Part number is 986 280 122 Let me know if it's any good to you. Edit, it's the same as this.. http://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/product_info.php/info/p10484_Mass-Air-Flow--MAF--Sensor---VW-Corrado---Golf-III---Passat---Jetta-III---Vento---VR6-up-to-VIN-50-P-020-000.html/MSsid/789lhntobdkb6ib5ef6hjemam2 Rog.
  7. As far as I know you need the whole cassette, Gloster Ox managed to find me one a while back but it's currently gathering dust in the garage, I'll fit it soon and do a quick write up. BTW when I first saw the 'Ox's' roof I thought it was an optional extra, it's that good, looks totally OE. Rog.
  8. Won't be a problem, FPR controls the pressure and not the pump, also the Corrado is closed loop ODB1 so will 'tune' the injectors to deliver the correct amount via data from the O2 sensor. Rog.
  9. Can't wait to see this on the show, it can only be a good thing for Corrado prices. Rog.
  10. Yep, some of that fine was my own fault, due to a massive mess up on my front the earnings form I was meant to include with my guilty plea was ommitted, the court said I could ask for a reconsideration but I'd only maybe get a 10% discount... Not worth the hassle in my book, I'm just glad it's over. Rog.
  11. Little update, the dreaded letter arrived a few weeks ago. Court summons to attend on the 19th, so I pleaded guilty by post and phoned the court today for the result. 6 points and £375 fine... Can't really grumble at that. Rog.
  12. Very good price, Stealth currently want £550 for these. I got a set delivered to my hotel whilst on holiday in Florida, I don't think you'll get cheaper than that and they still cost me £370 so £400 is a total bargain. Rog.
  13. Good point bringing this up Rob, I never check my amount when entering my pin, just assume it's correct, I will from now on though. I can't see what matey was gaining from this, I know that sometimes when busy bar staff just use the person who was last logged on to the till so I guess that's how it's come up as a woman but what can they gain from it, it's all electronic so they won't actually see any money in their thieving greasy mitt. Rog.
  14. As above, Ian is a top bloke, one of the forums finest. Sorted me out with a glass sunroof and stored it in his shed for nearly a year, also makes a good coffee. Rog.
  15. Rob, I've got a set of 288's here in the garage mate, I got them when I bought some drilled discs for Stormy, yours if you want them mate, could also do you a set of discs (my old ones). Rog.
  16. Afternoon all, So Stormy currently has 9x6 Vibe Slick speakers set into the parcel shelf, they are 420 watts peak and 140 watts RMS and tbh sound pretty good to my deaf old ears. Now, I've got a nice mint uncut shelf in the garage gathering dust and I'd like to fit it. I won't cut and instead will use the stock 6x4's but currently they are the 18 year Nokia speakers so I think I could do with an upgrade. I don't want to spend too much but I also want something decent. I've seen these online. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kicker-40CS464-6-x4-Car-Speakers-2-way-150w-1-Pair-/171506048963?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27ee8e9fc3 Would they be suitable? My head unit is 20w per channel. Opinions please. Rog.
  17. Yes, sorry guys but this isn't going to happen, even if we get ten we are still looking at about £530 to your door. Considering that these are $450 in the states I guess the best bet is to get a friendly local to mail you a set. Rog.
  18. Did it have the indicator stalk snapped off....lol My mate bought his RS4 round the other day and has promised me a go in it... I sort of don't want to.. if you eat pot noodle all your life I guess you are happy with pot noodle, however once you try steak... you want steak..... know what I mean.. Rog.
  19. 4 slabs... That's a warm up....deffo fined another for being a 'light weight' And another for being a member of the 'Queen Flying Club'.. :) Rog... (Ex CPO Royal Navy)
  20. Welcome to the club mate, get vagcom on it, hopefully it will be a quick fix. Btw mine stays on but goes off after a run, luckily it's 6 miles to the mot station....lol Rog.
  21. We'll it's been 6 mths now, have I got away with it? Rog.
  22. That's spot on, I've been thinking about doing something simular myself as like you I don't use the ashtray... I guess the price of A4 cup holders has just shot up...lol Rog.
  23. Well that's cheers me up, when I first got mine I went through a stage of seeing a few lovely VR6's coming up for sale for a fair bit less than mine, this car is very simular spec to mine and is a little more than I paid so finally I'm a little bit happy...lol Rog.
