  1. I don't want to get into another argument, nor bring down another person's thread, but the car needed geometry doing again, and the new genuine expansion tank was faulty at purchase. (I know as I have the exact same issue with mine). Those are hardly grounds for all this petty squabbling and finger pointing, and the fact that coupled with a strong (justified imo) purchase price, you then went out and spent a grand on a set of wheels that were never even fitted! Your spending habits when under the influence and that your missus probably gave you an ear full for spending your savings, shouldn't lead to this. It's bang out of order, and just makes you look petty and childish. End of.
  2. I'd hang fire with any more unecessary purchases Wayne. If your not sure how long you'll keep the car, it just seems like wasted effort. If after the summer you get the bug, then you have the calipers ready to go. The brake upgrade won't add any real world difference to sale price, so I'd suggest you at least wait til it's back on the road and you've got to know the car a little more.
  3. Have a look in this thread mate. It's probably covered in here, and it'll help you familiarise yourself and understand what's what in the conversion. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=36117
  4. Ah right got you. You won't need much mate. Just get a litre to be on the safe side.
  5. No mate. If they're renewing the fluid, theres no real difference in the amount needed as they'll have to pump all the old stuff through anyway.
  6. In the rib then! Sounds/looks like a good place to be. :thumbleft:
  7. Is that still with 35mm off of the bump stops Sean?
  8. Quick question, do the wheels have adapters? Aren't all 8v cars supposed to be 5 stud?
  9. If you were a bit closer I would. It's certainly not gonna hang around at that price! I need a cheap commuter next year when my workplace changes.
  10. £120 per axle to remove and refit brake calipers, disks and pads is mental! I'm in the wrong job!!!!!!
  11. Sounds like they were throwing you a line tbh. If they managed it the first time, it wouldn't seize within a few weeks. They probably couldn't do it properly the first time but charged you for it regardless. Take it to a recommended place and tell them the factory settings. If you do a search, you'll get what it should be set to.
  12. I think so mate. Most seem a little disappointed in the power delivery with a charger. Its obviously much cheaper to charge, but turbo seems to be the way forward! I'm seriously contemplating it tbh. Not sure the missus would go for it either, so I think my slush fund will have to become hidden!
  13. It happens on every forum unfortunately, but luckily it is very rare on here. In my 4 years as a member, this is only the second instance I know of that this has happened. Other user was banned iirc. Good to know that Mcdaddy is taking this further, and it's a good thing he's a police officer so will actually discourage this from happening again. I got a number plate plinth off of the seller about 6 months ago, and it took ages to come. Seller span me an excuse which seemed a bit far fetched, but it arrived in the end so no harm done at the time. Glad he will get his comeuppance though as I despise this sort of behaviour.
  14. Wow, didn't realise you were doing almost the full body Daren! Hats off to you mate. :thumbleft:
  15. Dont think so no. If they are, they may well be corroded out anyway.
  16. Yeah sorry its front drop 25-30mm :bonk: That'd be my guess. All plus axle I believe are late 5 stud, so that would include 8v and 16v? I may be wrong though. Plus axle may be vr6 only...........
  17. Got my receipt, part number is BLS46-190109 for plus axle.
  18. Thats the one. Give them a call if you're unsure. I have a late vr6 so needed the plus axle version (can't remember the part number). As for rear drop, depends if your boot or fuel tank is full I suppose!
  19. Yeah they're the same. You can have yours refurbished through Mr Injector and the like, for decent money.
  20. They're oil shocks which are replacements for the standard ones. The B8's are uprated gas shocks. Not available from your standard motor factors really. Available from Demon tweeks, larkspeed, Awsome GTI...........
  21. Oh yeah, you should get forces (veterans?) Discount with both Rog.
