Ah yeah I forgot the sunroof! The seals aren't cheap either. Cheapest I found was ARZ but postage is mega from Germany. They are the only place I found that supply the wing mirror seals though, and I got a few other bits and pieces from there to justify the postage cost. A 10x5x3" box cost me almost 30 euros!

Amended for you Chris. :thumbleft:

That's great praise coming from you on standard suspension before Sean! End of next week for my fitting hopefully. Can't wait for the difference coming from a truly dire set of coilovers! -
Yarp.

Shes a cracker Jamie. Well deserved silverware at the w.end mate. :thumbleft:

I so need a ride in a VRT. I have the end of mine in sight, and the last of the things to do are engine internals. Whilst I'm at it, I'm seriously tempted to bung a blower on at the same time!

Remove everything you can! Windows, scuttle, mirrors, scraper seals, aerial, roof trims, bump strips, door handles, lights and grille etc etc. If you can, or get them to, remove bumpers, rear hatch, bonnet, doors, slam panel, and wings. If it's all done in situ, you'll have mask lines all over the place, and you'll never be happy with it. You'll only likely have it done once, so getting it right first time is the only option. It all mounts up cost wise if you get the painters to do it, but if you're not comfortable doing it yourself, don't scrimp. It would be a terrible feeling knowing you'd paid out a small fortune and were not happy.

Genuine italvolanti black leather steering wheel. Superb condition
seanl82 replied to Dox's topic in Ebay and Misc
I've said it before too, I'm not really a fan of aftermarket steering wheels. I think the standard one suits the car fine. The US spec standard wheels are fugly though so I'd change it if I had one! -
15 now! :thumbleft:

All mk3 gti post 1995 came with 288mm caliper. The 288mm ones have an ovalish cut out at the top instead of the triangular one on 280s.

Bit hard to miss him Chris!

And you mate! :thumbleft:

You'll run out of things to do soon Chris! :thumbleft:

That's some epic posting Wayne! Some had been on the forum for like, 10 years and haven't posted that much! Lol -
Me too. You need around 10 in total iirc.

Just exhaust and a BMC CDA Chuggs. The VR6 seems to loosen up after its done a few miles anyway. Another completely standard VR made 197 bhp from cold so I was a little down on that which was a touch disappointing. I know I have good compression and my emissions are excellent though, so I'm sure I have a nice healthy engine now.

Good to catch up with some old faces, and meet some new ones too! Congratulations to Jamie for runner up in the show n shine! :thumbleft: I'm at home aching like mad now from being stood in the cold so long, and tensing so much when mine was on the rollers! lol. Pretty happy with my figures, 194.9 bhp & 196 Lb Ft torque. My engine was hot as well so may have made a couple more without the heatsoak from the inlet chucking in hot air. All in all though, a productive and enjoyable day, and a nice little print out for my records!

Gear oil - redline mt90 from Opie Oils. Search the forum for discount code. Disks and pads - ecp or cp4l and get pagid stuff. Good stuff and not expensive. Rear bearings - don't scrimp. Get the best available (most expensive generally) from the above mentioned suppliers.

Front or rear Matt? I have one I think, but can't remember which one. Let me know the part number of the one you need. If it's the one I have, I'll post it up this week with the bracket if I don't need it mate.

Not Leamington Spa then seeing as it's only down the road from Stealth! Lol

Trouble is Jim, the spray adhesive will soak through the fabric and leave dark hard bits if you don't give it enough time to tack off. It's hard to carry out local repairs without getting it on the fabric straight out of the tin. Try to section the fabric off with some card or something whilst laying the adhesive and you should be ok mate.

Shame on you Michael! It's nice to use them though. Wayne, mats and logo are Nothelle. A tuning company that did a lot with the Corrado back in the day.

Read his post again David........

Thats a pain in the arris Wayne. My radiator is a hella one. Best of whats left from what I hear, so probably worth investing in one of those. My rad elbow (flange) fitted straight on without any bother, and all mountings and holes for mounting the the fans etc were perfectly placed.

Ok, measured it all up today. All measurements approximate, but I tried to be as accurate as possible. Key is the above pic. Drivers side mat: A - 100mm B - 148mm C - 130mm Passenger side mat: A - 135mm B - 148mm C - 138mm Measurements were taken from the left to closest point on the C, and right to closest point on the O. The dimensions for the letters are (WxH): C are 26mm x 10mm O is 30mm x 10mm R are 12mm widening to 20mm x 10mm A is 30mm x 10mm, with the tail 4mm in from the end D is 20mm widening to 30mm x 10mm rising to 14mm Total length of the script is 200mm, and the total slant from the top of the leading edge of the C to the bottom leading edge is 5mm. Can't find my calculator to work out the angle though sorry! Think its somewhere in the region of 25 degrees I'd imagine. Hope this helps! :thumbleft:
