Corrado Part Duex - 24V Aqua Blue - She's gone.

Looking very nice Sean! :thumbleft: -
The Audi s2 calipers are 280mm 2 pot, but not sure if you'd need custom adapters and conversion hoses for those too. I doubt very much they'd be direct Fit.
-
288mm from a late mk3 Golf GTI is the largest you can go on standard wheels. They have a different hose fitting to the standard corrado calipers, and if you don't want to go down the braided route, standard mk3 rubber hoses will do.

I don't mind Martin, I'm still on courses for 2 weeks so happy either way. Will it save a quid or 2 on postage if we go halves? God that sounds tight! Lol -

Paint missing on N/S of rear bumper, and gearknob is shot. I certainly don't think its a 4k car, but I expect someone will pay close to that for it. Just goes to show that you can polish money into one, as thats the only difference to one being advertised at 1-2k less imo -
Jesus Christ you don't half like fish & chips Wayne!
-
Multi concourse winning cars cost top money though. I'm sure he'd be willing to negotiate a little though, but even so it's likely to be out of reach for most. Examples like that need to stay with people who will continue that kind of dedication as well.

Haha, famous last words!

Wayne, I've had a good look again this morning but I can't find the aiairbox. I must have binned it when I had a good sort out a few months back. Sorry mate.
-
Looks fantastic Daren, glad your pleased with it, it looks smashing mate! :thumbleft:

Mine did the same Matt. I was panicking like mad I cocked something up. I kept checking timing, took the inlet back off and spark plugs back out to check inside the head and bores, took the rocker cover off, but just couldn't find anything wrong. I started it 4 or 5 times letting it run a minute longer each time whilst I was showing people that might know what it could be, but then it started getting much better the last couple of times. I then just thought sod it, I'll just have to see what happens. So I let it run, gave it a few revs, and it sorted itself out.

Nice looking standard Aqua blue vr6 in Collingwood pass office car park. L* LHR. :thumbleft:

I'll take some pics tomorrow lunch time and WhatsApp you Wayne. I don't want to sway you away from yours, as its not far from being a very good car mate. I'll PM you with the rest of the details though if you're interested, or probably better to email as its a long list of details/what has been done. MOT retest on Friday and hopefully it'll be good to go from then.

That's the green one Sean! blue one owes me more than I hoped, but it's very sorted now an would cost less than Wayne has paid in parts and labour so far I expect!
-
Wise words above Wayne. If you do decide to go for another, I should have a nice Aqua blue one available in the next week or so. Price to you, exactly what it's cost me to get to where it is now. My time has been for free! I've written down every penny it's cost me, and that doesn't include the parts i used that were "in stock!" lol.

Welcome! Good luck with your search, you have a healthy budget which is always a good start. I think maybe the first reply was a bit wide of the mark for what you are for though. Not many around with less than 100k, and certainly not many for sale. Keep looking for the right car and it'll come up eventually, and it's good you're prepared to travel. John at JMR has an excellent reputation too which is handy, being very near. All the best in your search and good luck!
-
Didn't you get the car from a trader Wayne? I'd be round there demanding they cough up toward repairs or fix them asap! It's really not going well for you is it mate. Makes me sad someone genuine like yourself is having to deal with all this, and regretting ever buying what CAN be such an enjoyable car to own. :(

 Welcome to the Forum! There are a handful of us around, although quite a few more in the Hampshire/Surrey/West Sussex areas as well.
-
Are you offering this service then Ian, or was it just the one set? I'd have a set if they're on offer, and I already have a spare lot I could send you in advance.
-
VW Heritage sell them at a reasonable price mate.
-
Haha, I know that feeling! When I got my car there was an "ICE" install, with random bits of 2 core just twisted together with not even any insulation tape so was shorting all over the place! Seriously dangerous. They'd even hacked holes in the B pillar trims and outer kick plates to fit speakers! Atrocious and the first thing I did was remove it all when I got home!
-
No need top top up, in fact you may need to take some brake fluid out depending on how low your disks and pads are.
-
They're caliper to carrier bolts, you should have 2 per caliper so 2 for each corner. I wouldn't panic mate, it'll be fine to re use one set if you are missing them.
-
There was a set for sale on here on a breaker, however the thread has been locked now due to a few "problems. "

SKF or SNR Rob. Available from ECP and not expensive either.
