  1. You're all wrong, Petty Officer. :smug:
  2. Glad to hear the pump was ok. Here was mine.
  3. Better than £170 odd the set on ebay went for earlier this week!
  4. Mines finally going on the week after next, can't wait!
  5. Me too. marker study through Adrian Flux, £198 but without key cover and recovery, which I have elsewhere anyway.
  6. I used APC diluted in a squeezy bottle Rog. Be very cautious with how much you spray on though. I then scrubbed very lightly with an upholstery brush (shoe polish brush is exactly the same) after dunking it in a bucket of water, and flicking off excess water. Finally gently wipe it over with a clean microfibre to get the suds and moisture off.
  7. Very nice spec one here mate. You may have seen it already. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Corrado-VR6-/261789568325?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3cf3dfcd45
  8. Go out there with a spray bottle of water. Spray it around the leads and coil whilst its running, and you'll be able to see if anything is seriously amiss there as it'll be visibly arching. Sounds like a possible problem.
  9. No pollen filter as such, just a plastic gauze type affair inder the foliage cover that stops large bits entering into the fan. Definitely worth whipping it out to check there is nothing untoward in there.
  10. Yes you can. Takes a bit longer as a few more Base coats need to be applied, but easy to do. :thumbleft:
  11. Do you have a wanted ad up? People could link you in if they find anything that may be of interest. What are you looking for, and what's your budget?

Good way to introduce yourself to a forum whilst trying to sell stuff. Top work that man!
  13. Welcome Jon! Get some pics up mate, what are the details of the car, and where in the country are you?
  14. No, cables are specific to engine type due to length.
  15. You can change the thread title by clicking on the Go Advanced tab next to the reply button mate.
  16. Throttle cables are obsolete and I don't think there is anyone making them aftermarket unfortunately. Not sure about the PCV valve to be honest. Worth getting the part numbers of parts you need and phoning your local VW dealer though.

    Newbie

Have a look in the breaking section on here. There have been a few early valvers being broken recently so you'll probably find a good second hand one from there. Not a chance of getting a new one though I bet!
  18. Valve cover gasket is likely original so yeah, its probably at the end of its life and certainly not any anything to worry about. Cheap and easy to replace at least!
  19. NCB isn't generally taken into account on classic policies anyway, although some will mirror it. You can't accrue NCB though I believe. Edit; Doh, didn't see the second page you'd replied on Jim. :bonk:
  20. I have the same from the group buy and not fitted it yet. Would obviously prefer the proper stuff, but not at that size! Apparently the newton stuff is slightly too large to fit so needs to be trimmed down.
  21. Welcome Simone! Lots of information on R32 Swap on this forum should you get stuck. Very helpful people too. Look forward to seeing some pictures of your car and your progress on the swap. :thumbleft:
  22. That is mental! I was outbid at £46! Lol
  23. The curved end goes in first, then the other end clips in place. It's very stiff getting them on, I suppose it has to be to hold the cable sleeve in place. Just be careful! Lol
  24. Ummm, is that not meant to be 63:37, or 53:47 split?
