  1. There were a set on ebay this morning for about £45 posted. Not sure if they're still there though. Just checked, I'd not read the ad properly. They are standard arms with "Lupo style blades"
  2. Relays are also fitted. Loom runs down the passenger side to the rear door card where they're fitted.
  3. Woop woop! Get down, rip the keys out of their hands and get enjoying the car Wayne! :thumbleft:
  4. I had one sat in my shed for about a year after my Valver was totalled. I offered it on here a couple of times for I think a tenner posted! No one even wanted it at that price, so I binned it in the end. Shame a post like this didn't happen at the time, as I'm sure someone would have benefited from it.
  5. It'll return down if you drive over 15 mph then come to a stop. No need to get it to raise speed, so a quick trip to the end of the street will let you know if its working as it should.
  6. Trouble is Wendy, I think the film the studio part in the week before airing.
  7. Just the fogs Ej, it's what the cool kids do!
  8. There are a few cables behind the fuse box that aren't connected in, they're for options and other market components so don't worry about that. As said, pull the stereo and try that first, but the other most common problem is the control module located behind the dash, beside the manual switch. I'd do what you can as most things are relatively cheap, before handing it over to a garage that charge a fortune in labour alone.
  9. Hi Ian, when I cleaned mine out, I used hot water with degreaser, and scrubbed it out with a babies bottle brush, then let it soak in a sink full of hot water and bleach. Finally I washed it all out with hot soapy water and it came out like new too.
  10. Give it a wash and see what the paintwork is like. Tbh, its probably not worth a great deal. 110k is reasonable mileage but not particularly low. The fact its been laid up so long will mean that quite a lot of perishables like bushes, hoses, tyres, cambelt etc will probably need changing out. Cams are a plus, but won't add a great deal to the sale price. Most will have plenty of history, so again it won't add a great deal. Leather is generally a plus though provided its in reasonable condition. Get some photos up, and decide if you want to put the money into it yourself, or flog it on as a resto project.
  11. What you talkin bout Willis! Best colour of the lot!
  12. Engine bay earths corrode or getting dirty. Follow the neg battery terminal down to the little post. Give it a good wire brush. Also starter motor earth point, and the rear right of the engine block (iirc) have earth points. Worth checking them out and making sure everything looks in good order.
  13. Alarm should de-activate from the fob as soon as you hook it up to another car to jump it. Get the other car running and leave it for five minutes, give it a few revs to get current flowing to the dead battery to charge a little, as if its completely dead it'll take a while to even start.
  14. The alarm playing up is likely just because of the battery issues. The ABS system isn't active at all when switched off, so it shouldn't create any problems, and I can't see it being anything else around there that can be disturbed.............. Yeah get a multimeter, and test voltage to the battery when running, then with load (all lights etc on). Should be around 14.2v running, and drop to around 13v minimum with load on.
  15. Should be ok provided everyone coughs up in good time. I'll give you a bell when the OP has them ready to ship out, and we'll sort it from there mate.
  16. It won't be anything to do with the brakes, its likely to be either just a duff battery, alternator problem, or a large earth causing the battery to drain down. You'll need either an auto sparky, or get yourself a multimeter and test for current draw. Remove fuses one at a time and test again. etc....... until you have next to none.
  17. Top work Matt! I heard you carried the other two...................
  18. Yeah I'd definitely get one. I don't think many log your speed though so I'd get one of those. Don't get me wrong, I don't drive like a complete dikc, and if I did and the police seized it in the event of an accident, I'd accept I'd be bang to rights. I just refuse to allow these bottom feeders of insurance companies to do everything in their power to see you off, as well as to dictate their own premiums however it suits them.
  19. Jezza suspended for "a fracas" with a producer. Was this the final, final, final straw?????
  20. Difficult to say whether I would or not. I've certainly been considering getting one, but as far as insurance goes, it would probably be GPS tracked and speeds logged, so if you were travelling just a couple of mph over the limit (which I never do, honestly guv!) then you can guarantee you'd get bummed even if you weren't to blame, and they would refuse to pay out, and leave you to answer for voiding your insurance and be prosecuted for it!
  21. Just phone the parts department at VW with the part numbers Wayne. They'll order them in for you and usually have them within 2 days. I've just ordered a set of spring top plates this morning ready to fit my Bilsteins, and they will be in tomorrow!
  22. Not at all Martin. Bear in mind, they'll need to arrive by 10th (ish) of April though or I won't be here! You're welcome to pick them up from my house though, I'll let the missus know if don't mind that mate.
