  1. Make it Bigger! I may be tempted to come up then! I want to get to a few meets/shows before I'm off in April. Only UD on the cards at the moment though.
  2. I've got a cracker that I've had for about 12 years now. Its taken an utter battering and still going strong, and only needed the battery changing once in that time. Well with your budget too! What is it I hear you cry!? Well its a Casio F91W of coarse!
  3. I remember seeing this site a while back but had forgotten about it til now. Yeah love how they basically say its crap! Good how they tell you exactly why though and what you're getting for your money.
  4. I think a good independent would be better than most dealerships nowadays, provided they use genuine parts. The old boys at these independent specialist garages tend to know what they're looking at too. A lot of skill fade at dealerships where they're used to plugging in a diagnostic socket to tell them exactly what a problem is.
  5. ECP list a Pagid one for VR6 for around £50 too. I couldn't say if its 100% correct, but likely if its the same for a number of models........
  6. Not a chance mate, I'm confident mine is almost as good as a low miler with the time effort and money I've lavished on it this year! Chuggs, good to hear mate. There seem to be a lot of dealers buying decent ones and then advertising them a couple of weeks later after a quick wash and with a load of detailed photos for much inflated prices. Glad your happy with what you've got!
  7. Had a bit of a windfall have we Chris? Turbo install at Stealth, LSD shopping, holidaying in Thailand.......................
  8. Ah yeah I kept meaning to go, sorry! I was gonna go the weekend I bought the Aqua parts car, but forgot due to this. If I'd known this was the one you were looking at, I'd have gladly come along for moral support and to give you a hand looking over it. Sounds like a good un though and look forward to seeing a gallery thread! :thumbleft:
  9. Agree with Ian. Halfords Yausa ones are around £110, less with trade card but still around £90+. ECP do them for about £70 iirc. The difference when I last got the Bosch silver was although it the exact same battery, halfords did them with a 5 year guarantee, whereas ECP offered 4 years on them.
  10. Cracking work Matt! Look forward to the finished results! :thumbleft:
  11. I may have one but iirc the flap had broken off. I'm over the workshop tonight pulling a late one so I'll check for you but cant promise I kept it. If I find it then it's yours for postage mate.

    Cold blowing air

Check your bottom rad hose. Top one should warm up pretty quickly, and the bottom should stay cold until stat opens at 87 degrees. If it gets warm in line with the top hose then stat is stuck open, therefore constantly cooling which gives you cool air in the cabin unless your stuck in traffic. If it's just an airlock though, run car up to temp with cap off, revving for 30 seconds at 3k rpm, then idle for 30 secs, and massage the hoses to force air out during this time. Keep doing it until the car is up to temp and the fans are kicking in, then switch off, let it cool, top up expansion tank and replace the cap. Job done
  13. You'll need to use something to wedge inbetween. It will come off, just needs a bit of coaxing. The bit behind has a flap that covers a single screw if you don't know.
  14. Hmmmm, sure I tried the part number but it came up as unlisted. Fair enough then. Thanks for letting us know. :thumbleft:
  15. OK Gar, I'll pass a couple to Rob if he wants them.
  16. I wouldn't mind a few please Gar. Let me know what you want bud.

    TPS flyer

Just been to pick up a few bits from TPS, and saw this flyer. Made me chuckle!
  18. Print out the buyers guide thats in the Wiki section. Well worth taking with you but don't be put off if theres the odd small problem. My first Corrado wasn't the first I looked at, but my current one was. Do I regret it?.......................Sometimes!
  19. Haha! I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to amend a letter or two on the computer, then print it out though. Hopefully its possible but I'll post it up if they reply to the email.
  20. Good shout, although it's smaller and I don't think it has as much information on it.
  21. It would be hard to get a batch I think Rob. A lot will be different as obviously they would need to be made for colour and option specifics of each car.
