  1. Not a chance mate, I'm confident mine is almost as good as a low miler with the time effort and money I've lavished on it this year! Chuggs, good to hear mate. There seem to be a lot of dealers buying decent ones and then advertising them a couple of weeks later after a quick wash and with a load of detailed photos for much inflated prices. Glad your happy with what you've got!
  2. Had a bit of a windfall have we Chris? Turbo install at Stealth, LSD shopping, holidaying in Thailand.......................
  3. Ah yeah I kept meaning to go, sorry! I was gonna go the weekend I bought the Aqua parts car, but forgot due to this. If I'd known this was the one you were looking at, I'd have gladly come along for moral support and to give you a hand looking over it. Sounds like a good un though and look forward to seeing a gallery thread! :thumbleft:
  4. Agree with Ian. Halfords Yausa ones are around £110, less with trade card but still around £90+. ECP do them for about £70 iirc. The difference when I last got the Bosch silver was although it the exact same battery, halfords did them with a 5 year guarantee, whereas ECP offered 4 years on them.
  5. Cracking work Matt! Look forward to the finished results! :thumbleft:
  6. I may have one but iirc the flap had broken off. I'm over the workshop tonight pulling a late one so I'll check for you but cant promise I kept it. If I find it then it's yours for postage mate.

    Cold blowing air

Check your bottom rad hose. Top one should warm up pretty quickly, and the bottom should stay cold until stat opens at 87 degrees. If it gets warm in line with the top hose then stat is stuck open, therefore constantly cooling which gives you cool air in the cabin unless your stuck in traffic. If it's just an airlock though, run car up to temp with cap off, revving for 30 seconds at 3k rpm, then idle for 30 secs, and massage the hoses to force air out during this time. Keep doing it until the car is up to temp and the fans are kicking in, then switch off, let it cool, top up expansion tank and replace the cap. Job done
  8. You'll need to use something to wedge inbetween. It will come off, just needs a bit of coaxing. The bit behind has a flap that covers a single screw if you don't know.
  9. Hmmmm, sure I tried the part number but it came up as unlisted. Fair enough then. Thanks for letting us know. :thumbleft:
  10. OK Gar, I'll pass a couple to Rob if he wants them.
  11. I wouldn't mind a few please Gar. Let me know what you want bud.

    TPS flyer

Just been to pick up a few bits from TPS, and saw this flyer. Made me chuckle!
  13. Print out the buyers guide thats in the Wiki section. Well worth taking with you but don't be put off if theres the odd small problem. My first Corrado wasn't the first I looked at, but my current one was. Do I regret it?.......................Sometimes!
  14. Haha! I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to amend a letter or two on the computer, then print it out though. Hopefully its possible but I'll post it up if they reply to the email.
  15. Good shout, although it's smaller and I don't think it has as much information on it.
  16. It would be hard to get a batch I think Rob. A lot will be different as obviously they would need to be made for colour and option specifics of each car.
  17. That's the one Rob. I've emailed the place linked to see if they can do them. Mine has worn pretty thin in places and has lifted a bit. It's the paint on the panel it attaches to that bugs me most, but it can't be done right with that sticker still there.
  18. Anyone know of anywhere that does these? The inside of my boot is scratched to buggery and I'd like to get it repainted. I want it done properly though rather that masking the sticker, and probably taking it off with the tape afterward anyway! A replacement would be ideal if there is anyone that are reproducing them. Thanks all!
  19. Welcome! Theres no Mulberry, but some describe Blackberry as that. I have however seen Dark Burgundy Pearl, and Sherry Pearl described as mulberry too though. Have a look at the link below. Check the paint code on the options sticker in the boot against the code to be sure which colour it is. Alternatively, stick a pic up here and we'll let you know. :thumbleft: http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=37863
  20. Yeah I've got two that are in a reasonable condition. Another one is half the width it should be and looks like a bent stiffy where its so corroded! I'll see what I can do to get it on as well as possible.
  21. Some big power to be had out of the R. Quite a tasty one here. http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=238569.0
  22. I think thats the purpose of them tbh. As mentioned, its not that they prevent metal particles finding their way into places that could cause damage, its to give an indication that there may be something amiss before it becomes catastrophic. They're not exactly expensive, and I don't replace my sump nut every time I do an oil change (just the copper seal) so it won't cost the earth for that little peace of mind.
  23. Rob, did you manage to get any of these? I tried to get some through TPS today but apparently they're no longer available. :(
