YOu are not the first person to have said this- Will replace bearings and mounts and let you know..........On my way to having redone just about everything on the front suspension- Never ending!!! But then parking up today and seeing her from a storey up- what a tight, compact little package full of vr6....YOu gotta love it! Thanks for suggestion mate!

I have recently replaced my inner and outer CV''s as well as the two engine mounts and gearbox mount, had my alignment done and still the Cv's clucking when I get mid to full lock turning right. So replaced inner CV's again and sent the others back- Noise still there..............? Has anyone else experienced this? Best thing could have done was replace the mounts- WHAT A DIFFERENCE- 10 years off the car!!! Shock mounts are due to be replaced, dont know if this could have anything to do with it? Also, replaced CV's with Golf Mk 3 Vr ones................YOur answers would be much appreciated!!! Jason

Best thing about the Corrado, is it is such a dark horse- it doesnt fit into the mould of E-types and 911's, mk1 or mk2's and will hopefully remain that way. Splitties have become popular because they are part of the universal conciousness- a universal symbol- exactly what the corrado is not. Also whats great about them being affordable is that there are cars like Goldies, and then there are some hideous custom jobs that deserve to be broken with parts going to where they are needed. If values increase most of us on here wouldnt be able to be in one!! In this day and age, there are'nt any well kept secrets left- Best thing to do is to ENJOY THE HELL OUT OF THEM!!! :cheers:

OUCH, he was pushing it though!! Did anyone notice the Purple BMW 3 Series right at the end with more bodyroll than overloaded camper van!!! Would hate to have him near me on the track!!! Amazing variety of cars though.............................and quite crowded too!!

Hi, replaced the hydraulic gearbox mount recently but now need to replace the others too. Can get golf vr6 parts here in SA , but as far as I understand it the front mount is corrado specific? Can anyone recommend where I could get a good quality oem style replacement part?? will have to enquire whether shipping to sa is feasible....any input appreciated!

Hi, looking to replace the housing on my vr6 where the three temp senders fit in, is this called the thermostat housing? What I need to know is, is this part the same on my 2.9 as the one on the 2.8 golf 3 vr's..? Replaced the yellow temp sender to my water temp gauge and it works!!!! :cheers: however the sensors fit very loosely due to what looks like some former abuse....

Had a FULL rebuild last year and was hoping the noise would go away, but no chance- still tapping away. Glad to hear so many of you have the same noise!! :cheers:

They make it almost impossible to import cars into this country, to protect the motor industry here. My Corrado was imported by my brother in 2005- He had to have owned the car for a minimum of a year and paid tax etc on it in the UK, then a SOLID month of paperwork, then the shipping company employees raped it, and when landed and registered here, he couldnt take it off his name for 2 years. If a loop hole could be found in this system, and we could get cars through painlessly, not only would I have the biggest Corrado collection worlwide, but there would be BUCKETS of money to made as your UK second hand cars 5 years and older go for 20% of what you would pay here- Demand is high, which pushes up the prices of second hand vehicles.

If I lived in the UK, I would have it off you in a flash! In fact with all the great cars that come up for sale on the forum, and the prices they are going for, I might move there just to feed my Corrado habit. Man those wheels do it for me 100%.................Good luck with the sale!!! PS Here is SA, for 3000GBP, you would get a 250 000 mile Golf 3 1600 beaten into eternity.........................
