  1. I can offer a 240mm 150W mains Draper one for £28.99 (the RRP for it is £42.16) and £3.95 postage. Here a small picture of it. Its a lot bigger than the picture makes it look. Pad is 240mm.
  2. I know what HVLP stands for, but should I get one of those and why? Nice one I wasnt sure wether to get a gravity or not. Glad somones cleared that up for me. Someone on Dubforce just bought a SATAJET, I'd like one of those or a Devilbiss GTI. I think the GTi maybe easier to pick up second hand than the SATA.
  3. Thats Phat with a captial 'P'!!! Dont like the rear lights though.
  4. That looks good Riley! The compressor I've got does run on a normal socket. It was the biggest I could find that would. Has some slow start function or something so it doesnt trip breakers. So whats the deal with choosing either gravity feed or suction feed? Also whats HVLP all about? How much would these guns be? (cant find price on net) http://www.anest-iwata.co.uk/products.a ... 2&Prod=164 or this http://www.anest-iwata.co.uk/products.a ... 2&Prod=163
  5. Look at th site advertised on the plate http://www.rs-tuning.hu/
  6. I've got a VW camper that I'm restoring and planning to spray myself. I've done a bit of research so far by asking people and have also read an old Haynes bodywork repair manual. It was helpful but I’m far from knowledgeable of the subject so far and very interested in the info in this thread. Firstly though I bought a 3hp 150 litre compressor that can do nearly 15cfm at 120psi, I was told anything less wouldn’t really do. Especially if I wanted to use air tools with it like a sander, grinder and polisher and was doing an entire van. As far as I have been told when it comes to paint choice. If you’re not going back to the metal you should spray with the same type of paint that’s already on the car or you could get a bad reaction between the paints. I think you need an oven to spray water based paints as it doesn’t use the harsh hardeners that other methods use. For the camper, the plan is to go right back to the metal and then spraying it with 2pc and a quick drying hardener (no oven). I should be using an air fed respirator when spraying this paint but seeing as it’s a one off and a proper respirator costs quite a bit I’m only going to use a good mask. The chemicals are really bad for you and if you work with them everyday you have to be really careful. I’ve been told that the quality of the spray gun can make a huge difference. You can pay from as little as £10 for a spray gun but I reckon the finish would probably reflect that. I want to get a Devilbiss GTi as I’ve seen the finish that other amateurs have got with this gun. If someone in the know could recommend a less expensive but good quality spray gun I’d probably go for that. I’m going to look into selling Devilbiss or Sata spray guns soon.
  7. Get some wire wool. Works a treat before using the polish. Also spray some WD40 over the rims afterwards. Once there covered in brake dust and road muck it should all wipe off. Clean, etc then WD40 again. The only way to get polished wheels through the winter.
  8. The wheels on that rado look a lot like image wheels style Billet 17 or Billet 60's. http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/pages/wheels_billet.html
  9. We sell the suitable Sykes MacPherson strut nut remover set. http://www.shacktools.com/sykes-macpher ... -2028.html We could offer a 10% Corrado forum discount on these too. By the way, a friend I know set his camber with a spirit level. Then got it checked properly and it was virtually bang on anyway.
  10. Gazza, you're going to need to change you user name soon!
  11. 8) I cant wait to see this car when its finished! 8)
  12. I agree with OSV that to have a different colour from body requires a lot of smoothing to it pull off. Picture of Matt’s engine bay as requested and a link to the thread on dubforce: http://www.dubforce.net/forums/index.ph ... c=3&st=150
  13. Though this link would be useful in this thread: http://www.qpeng.com/ Check out the conversion guide.
  14. I don’t think you should go for a third colour on the car, if you know what I mean. Keep it the same as the body or if you want to be different then match it to the interior colour. A light colour like that could add some nice contrast between the bay itself and the engine. Like that uber bling mk2 with the bench seat, done by premier, that had a light cream coloured engine bay. Also, have you seen Dubwizz’s engine bay on dubforce? That looks really good matched to the interior.
  15. Red Corrado approaching Queensferry near Wrexham turn off, on the A55 today at about 1 or 2pm. It could have been dazzyvr6 maybe?
  16. I'll have to try source some of those!
  17. Sorry only just seen this! I'll have to look through some old backup CD's or somthing to find them. Have you tried SMCars, blueprints site/forum? You can find almost any Blueprint there. If you dont find them there PM me and I'll see what I can find.
  18. Naughty, I've had them from **** too. ;-) Ben you coming for a PINT in minute?

    Recaro's

Yeah, you wont get through an MOT if your rear passengers cant escape. A solution would be the bin your back seats!! No passengers = no problem with them being able to escape. I saw these on eBay and thought they where very clean looking. There not from a VW or Ford, both have different shaped side bolsters, not as pointy as the ones on these. These are from some sort of 800 series Rover, as said above. Not sure if they where an option or only came on the Vittesse (no idea how to spell that) models. Good luck with them.
  20. Sweet, like the TH-MONO, where did you get them?
  21. So are they TH-MONO? :-)
  22. TH Mono Block? Very nice, would like some of those myself.
