The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

spent this morning preping for the mot on monday , hope all goes well , spent the last few weeks fitting following parts

* top mounts

* koni front shocks and springs

* koni rear shocks and springs

* goodrich hoses to all four corners

* new rear and front pads

* 3 core plugs in the block

* fuel pipe from filter to pump

just got to sit back and hope the ropy scorpion exhaust holds up for the test as ive run out of funds untill pay day at the end of the month , fingers crossed :roll:

Fitted new knock sensor, and moved the connector bracket slightly as the old cable was rubbing against the oil filter/exchanger unit. Great.

 

Then I noticed coolant had leaked slightly from the plastic water flange I replaced a few months back, and that there was a bit of mayo under the filler cap - Arrghhh looks like the head gasket might be on its way out!

today i attempted to refit my front bumper after it came back from the sprayers..but my self inflicted hangover got the better of me

Changed standard air filter for a K&R panel filter and had a Magnex cat back exhaust fitted. Feels like a new car now :D

well made some progress today installed all the wiring for the seats. installed the headliner which if i do say so myself looks amazing!! installed all the plastic trim and charged the battery hopefully sourced a bonnet so should be back to paint next week!!!

thrashed it within an inch of its life!!!!! and it loved every minute of it :twisted:

Finally found that anoying rattle noise coming from the engine bay. Having gotten worse over the last 3 months, we threw it up on the lift. Its was simply the heat sheild to the down pipe that meets the cat; so just clipped it and all's well. Wierd not to hear it at 2k-revs now, lol. Happy

I got advisories on my headlights at the last MOT. I checked them over a week ago and I could see what they meant, most of the chrome on the reflectors has 'worn' off.

 

So I replaced both lamps and also put the proper VW plugs on the end of the uprated loom ends to make life easier when taking the lamps out.

got a new bonnet cheers chrisp! absolute minter and some other bits and bobs not least the late door pull surounds!! hes still got a lot of late spec front end parts and hatch etc all from a very late n plate rado.

spent a long time installing my new fourm stickers today , they look cool 8) then refitted centre consol cleaned out the boot , replaced a couple of earth wires and then cleaned it again :lol!:
