king thread resurrection i know!! but been searching for a while, because my arb does catch the exhaust down pipe and is not pointing down as kev described, mine is pointing up like in the pic above but is vr6 to rectify this can I take the arb off whilst on the car (without dropping the front axle off completely?) and i presume turn it the other way around and reconnect?

a huge big thanks to billcor, purchased some rather expensive goodies off him recently and we had a nightmare with the couriers, through his perseverance alone we got a great result in the end, thanks again for going above and beyond mate, great seller and can definitely recommend.... and the goodies are schweeeeeet

just imagine what it'll be like in 10 years time if we manage to keep them running..........we'll be skint haha yeah for me if I wanted a new one now id look at the 32 or r.....but id quite like a mk2 vr alongside the rado before I think of newer type models

nah haha, we have one of them lift up beds, i stole them from under that, but I've been told thats where the 'best' ones are kept..... anyhoos, took off my inlet manifold today, thinking about polishing or painting, alas, its uncovered a leak thats coming from the seal on the rocker cover so that will need doing whilst its off I only started doing it as i had planned to do the 288mm brake conversion only to find my trolley jack won't lift the car high enough to use my axle stands, been one of those days!

no Jamie I didn't, although I did take a leaf out of your book, apparently 'best' bed sheets are now not to be used for masking off!!

sprayed my slam panel as it was really letting the car down, also purchased some race ramps, not exciting just ramps made of rubber for low cars, hopefully i can get underneath and do some winter work ready for worthersee

bain of my life them lights, i don't know what type they are other than they aren't standard, give off a hellish blue or yellow haze to oncoming drivers, nightmare on country roads throughout the shire! suppose being low doesn't help my cause

jamie does that scuttle cover, go all the way over the windscreen wipers or clip underneath it like the existing right hand cover does? damn right it looks better in satin, just purchased a mk2 golf one to adapt thought i had got a bargain, when it was delivered it was the flimsy plastic type one it ended up in two pieces in a fit of rage

hunting around the bay today, any ideas what this is for, was just below water expansion tank, it has a brown (presume earth) wire taped into it that went all the way to the battery, currently not connected

haha done this myself on wheels with white plasti-dip that probably came off easier than that tho' on another note lets see the scuttle ;-)
