Hi Irish Storm, I submitted the guide you looked at earlier. Taking the seat out and stripping down to the element scared the hell out of me but it really isn't a big job. In fact my element has gone again so I'm going to have to do it again, but I'm resisting until after my exams. Let me know how you get on. Where did you get your element from by the way? A quick question - the OS front bearing was done by a local VW specialist 2 years ago -after 12000 miles it looks like its gone again. Any advice welcomed...! cheers

youve also got Regan Motorsjust off Wimborne Road in Winton who regularly serviced the CCGB chairmans Corrado I believe. Autotechnik on the Lyndhurst Road coming out of Southampton are another option.

OK, Have checked through the list above including replacing the offending transistor, have even replaced the clocks to no avail ....so there must be another point in circuit that has failed.... cue [OB] RW1 methinks... what next?

I have tried everything but cant get the speedo working - so tried another set of clocks - speedo works but guess what - no spoiler function at speed

bugger :( managed to solder the fiddly little bugger in...only to find i now have no speedo function , forget about the spoiler! what did I do???

mrbeige, buttles, where did you get the replacement transistor from?

make sure you get a hold of one in the shop to assess the size, bulkiness with gps antenna up --all ad photos show antennas folded away and the shot is always from the front - conveniently missing out the bulk behind the screen

If you get stuck with the caliper carrier bolts (like I did) use IRWIN BOLT GRIPPER sockets - fantastic!

Dont panic -you'll need a female first :) Seriously, it is out of order to park in any special bays - including parent and child ones. Objections to these points seems to come from people who either have no personal experience of disability or children. I wouldnt wish disability upon anyone but I think the opinion would change if they actually needed the spaces only to find Mr Paranoid's parked his Corrado in one (a bad rep for C drivers BTW) Come to think of it I wouldnt wish kids on anyone either - but if you havent had any you don't have a clue what its like.
