In the style of Columbo, "Just One More Question.." Do the MK 4 caliper pistons wind back or are they pushed back?
-
It may be that the pressure hasnt built up in the system in the morning - as the coolant warms it expands (in the expansion tank) and therefore the level will increase?
-
got these from the Dealers today as well as some corrado disks and bearings - just waiting on the hoses from C+R (£30)

I think in all honesty, the differences between grooved and drilled are irrevelant at the braking speeds we are talking about. In Fact some would say that at this level the improvement in braking performance based upon smooth discs and drilled/slotted is marginal anyway. Much more important is the caliper compression and the master brake cylinder in braking onset and performance. A gradual feel is what I have with the brembo discs and pads up front - my rears are almost seized so I cant really assess overall braking performance until I do the rears - Even so I'm not expecting any miracles changing discs and pads alone whatever they are for the reasons above They do look good though!

Thats mine at Haslar Hospital ! I used to work there a few years back :) really? what were you doing there? Im working in C2/D3/C3 areas usually -
I thought the best combination was to use MK4 discs with the MK4 calipers as per Kev's combo I didnt know you could use the MK4 calipers with the Corrado rear caliper carriers  The calipers look much bigger  BTW, is there any problem changing to vented discs of the same size at the rear?
-
Whats the size of the stock MK4 rear discs - for the MK4 caliper upgrade? I can't figure out whether theyre the 256mm or smaller? For that matter, anyone know the part number of the Goodridge conversion hoses?

I see yours all the time...its a horrendous place to get in and out of isn't it?[/quote:a1464] Are you usually in your Storm?[/quote:a1464] yep - usually[/quote:a1464] Ah, Is your the green one which I've spotted going towards the A32 heading into Gosport at 0730 - 0745 ish? I have spotted a Storm in Haslar Hospital as well, not sure if it's yours? There's usually a dark C heading out of Gosport at that time. Very friendly driver, always waves :)[/quote:a1464] Thats mine at Haslar Hospital ! -

I sited it just under the rearview mirror housing - you cant see it from the inside so no field of view issues. From the outside though you can see it through the windscreen, but doesnt look too bad...infact seems as though its part of the mirror. Remember it needs to be in the wipe field so you cant mount it too discreetly, unless youre a perfectionist like Jay!
-
Jay make sure there are no air bubbles in the contact point of the windscreen and the sensor as this severely affects the sensor reading.....WHAT am I saying...I'm probably teaching you to suck eggs, sorry
-
Sorry my mistake - it was 47 EUROS = approx £30
