Ok, on closer inspection although it looks like sticky good, it's actually been there so friggin long that it's rock hard. I managed to scrape one patch off with my finger nail, but the rest is still there. The lighter fluid does squat on it (other than get you high). Marmite smelled better, but again the cleaning wasn't too good. Forgot to take pictures of that to VR6 :roll: :lol: I then got distracted by actually driving it and managed to go nowhere in particular and come back an hour later :D:D I shall give it another go with some window cleaner after lunch though.

Right, I want to start fitting my Infinity 5000cs components in the front. The door fitting sounds easy, but the tweeters in the dash sound a bit harder, so can I just clarify something on the crossovers I want to keep the dash looking standard, so I'm planning on cutting the old tweeters out of their locating disk thingy and putting the new ones in there. If I do that, is there going to be enough room under them for the crossover? If not, then where have people put their crossovers?

Thanks dude :) I think the buttons probably aren't that hard to swap over, but you need to find some... there is a thread going at the moment where people are talking about doing it. My Recaros aren't heated at all, but they are electric, but most people over here seem to have gone for the leather if they had Recaros. I know that when I was over at the CCC meet there were quite a few more cloth options on the C's there. IIRC There was only 1 that had black cloth tho.

I have no passion to buy mats from the stealer, but the ones on justmatz seem to have these HUGE logos on them. The little script in the middle of the VW ones looks classy. I don't mind spending less to get some nice quality plain ones from justmatz and spraying them myself sounds good, even better if it was embroidered tho 8)

Yeah I've heard the VW mats are expensive (surprise surprise :roll: ) and that you can get justmatz to make them up for half the price and they make much better quality ones. I want ones that look like the originals tho, especially if they've got Corrado or something written on them.

I've currently got some crappy rubber mats in my C and I want to get some carpet ones. I'd like to get standard looking mats, but I'm going to get some made up by justmatz instead of paying the silly price from the stealer. They should also be much better quality too. Is there anything written on the standard C mats at all, or are they just plain black/grey/beige? Thanks

I just took pics of them where we happened to park up... I would have moved my dad's Zafira out of the way and parked his SLK there instead if I was going for proper tarty pics ;) :lol:

Heh heh thanks :) The car port looks very cool, but it's a bit tight getting the C in there. You only get a cm or 2 each side.
