My drivers side door takes a fairly heft slam to get it to close properly since it came back from the bodyshop. It feels like the striker pin needs adjusting slightly, but there doesn't seem to be any screws on it. Can anybody tell me if/how I can adjust it? Or do I take it back and tell em to do it properly...

There's nothing that would do that as part of the C, so I would guess it's probably you're alarm saying the car has been tilted. Try it out... tilt the car when it's stationary and see if it beeps then?

My pedal could of course be a bit spongey because the bodyshop didn't bleed the brakes properly when they replaced the hoses...:roll: I'll check this evening

Do you have a link to this thread? I think the harder part of the swap would be getting the plain fan controls, without the holes for the buttons above the cig-lighter. One of my friends, part of my club CCNYC, he has a 95 Canadian that he imported to the US. Hes got the black cloth recaros. Yeah your camera is rather tasty. Mine's nice and small but the lens on it is utter crud. Good for photos down the pub tho :D

I've already got a fuel filter and a blue coolant sensor, so I'm gonna fit them first and see what happens. I think I'll also get a new fuel pump as well, becase once it's started making this much noise, it's only going to get worse :( My list of things that need doing is getting shorter now though :) Unfortunately my list of 'things I would like' is getting longer...

It should be ok if it's just squealing a bit as it's only starting to go, but I'd get it fixed ASAP because if it goes you lose your power steering and more importantly water pump. An engine without water doesn't stay happy for long.

My pedal does seem to move quite a long way, but I can't really say what it was like before as I didn't drive it for long :(

Ah cheers mate, I'll give that a go tomorrow, then at least I can get the wiring in place. Need to take another trip to Maplin for the spade connectors and wire tho.

F**** fun I've had trying to do this. Eugh. Didn't help that I didn't get the right spade connectors and not enough wire, but ugh. The plan was... I was going to put the driver's side crossover under the plasic panel next to the pedals. Kev suggested here and it makes sense. The problem is I can't get the wires in behind it as there's not enough room around the edges. I now also can't get the 2 screws to locate into anything... :( I may have to investiage the behind the shelf routine, but how does the shelf come off? I couldn't see anything that was obviously holding it in place...? Also re fitting the tweeter in the original housing - that could be interesting as the Infinities have got a metal dome grille attached to them already, so I don't think they'll just fit in place of the old tweeter. I won't know til I get it off tho, so worry about it then I guess.

Heh heh yeah apologies for my dad's Zarfira, his new SLK makes up for it tho :D jedi-knight83, your pics are way better than mine 8) A big thank you for turning up with that hose too, I would have been buggered without it. I still owe you a beer and some jubilee clips too. On the reliability front I had a bit of a crap-my-pants moment earlier when the power steering died, the battery charge light came on and then the engine stalled... I re-started it (eventually) and it was still like it. Then when Scruffythefirst turned up to help sort, she fired up and was fine again :roll: I know the serp. belt is on it's way out tho, so it's the next thing on the replacment list. The fuel pump is also whining like hell too, so I need to order one of them. I'll try changing the filtre first and carry the pump and some tools in the boot tho. It's also a pig to start and was hunting around on idle earlier :( it's the first time it's done it and it hasn't done it since, but hopefully it's fuel pump related and fixing that will solve it. Luckily the suspension seems to have bedded down a bit now and it's a dream to drive. I popped to Tesco to grab some bread earlier and came back over an hour later... :D Edit: Oh bugger I forgot to take pictures of the seats... I will tomorrow I promise! ;)

Yeah your C looked pretty darn nice when you came over 8) Some very nice pics of it out in the middle of nowhere too. Top marks all round! :D
