  1. Do it, do it, do it, do it :D
  2. Er it's a bit far for me, so I'll have to pass on the Knockhill one I'm afraid :(
  3. Not too bad, but it depends on what style clips you have holding the thing in place. I had a plastic cage around the filter that was bolted to the car. The bolts came out OK, but apparently the type that have plastic clips as well are a git to get off. The hose clips are single use though, so you'll need some 10mm ish jubilee clips to clamp the hoses back on to the filter with. Oh and watch out for the petrol that pours out ;)
  4. Yeah it was pretty nasty and my C has only done 78k miles... the fuel pump was making a huge racket and I thought it was a gonner, but you can barely hear it now 8) I'd recommend the £8 on a fuel filter over a £100 pump ;)

    Rear brakes

But want the pads wear affect the pedal feel? The brakes are self adjusting, so the pads stay in the same place relative to the disk ;)
  6. I changed my fuel filter today (thanks Kev ;) ) and this is what the old one looked like inside... Funnily enough, my fuel pump doesn't make anywhere near as much noise now :D
  7. "Is this 'gear on the tranny" thread in any way related to the "I can't find my nipple' thread"? ;) Sorry, not very helpful :D

    Rear brakes

I have just done a set of rear calipers, disks and pads on my C and the costs were... Mk 4 calipers and Mk2->Mk4 Goodridge adapter hoses were £200 delivered from C&R - http://www.candrenterprises.co.uk VAG steel which was £40ish the pair Pagid FR pads (original Corrado ones, but I'd see if they do the aforementioned Mk3 GTI ones) which were £30 the set from GSF. Good luck, the Mk4 calipers transform the handbrake operation, that's for sure. The Pagid FR pads work really well with the VAG disks too, so it's a worthwhile mod. Also, as the Mk4 calipers are alloy, they won't corrode up and die like the standard C ones.
  9. Now that's a good offer and I think I'm going to need one soon. Dammit that's another £130 to add to the wish list....
  10. As I see this thread has re-emerged, I thought that I should contribute... I just had my rear suspension and bushes entirely replaced and that has tightened the whole car up considerably, most noticably the steering and stability at speed... ;)
  11. Yeah I posted it the other week... I thought it was rather ironic as money is usually the one thing you don't have if you have a Corrado...;)
  12. Actually makes it look like a Renault 5 that's trying to be a crappy Fiesta... at least it hides it's roots well so people that actually own a Mk2 don't have to hide in shame.
  13. Nice one, count me in whenever it is :D
  14. Mine felt like a stogy turd to drive until I got the rear axle bushes changed, it feels infinitely more planted now. It might not have been entirely down to the bushes though, I also had new shocks, springs and err axle too :D
  15. Heh heh no worries, I just thought it'd give you some good info quickly :)
  16. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15025 ;)
  17. Bargain! I think they're over £100 a set from the stealers!
  18. Heh heh yeah it's nice, not too keen on the rusty bolts holding it in place tho :?
  19. Nice 8) Shame about the friggin canned laughter over it
  20. It still doesn't wipe to the top of the screen... ;)
  21. Brunters doesn't look too bad, but not exactly much in the way of twisty bits?
  22. I wouldn't care what car it was, if I'd worked hard to buy a car I really wanted (as we all have), and they did something as shockingly bad as that then I'd go out and hunt the piece of lowlife sh!t down, cos you know the police would do sweet F.A as usual! :mad2: I didn't say it was nice, or that I would go rip the little shite's kneecaps out... ;)
  23. RadoAds, dude what happend to your C?!!? I didn't see a post on it....?? Edit: changed this so it actually made sense
