Nah mate the Lenso's are fake BBS RSII. I'll get my coat....
-
How easy are the screws to get at Kev?
-
LOL exactly mate
-
You tried fitting a new seal mate?!
-
They're a cracking good car. It may not impress on paper but you go and drive one - great fun to drive. Handles, rides and point to point a pretty quick car. Day to day I'm sure it'll be great as it's Japanese so will never break down, and being light and powered by a 1.8 it'll be good on the jungle juice!

The heating element sits on the foam under the upholstery, be it cloth or leather. Retrim should cause no problems, assuming the chap is careful!!

Just been going through this thread mate. Phenomenal effort Jay 8) . And knowing you all done yourself, for pennies, and to top standard. Trouble is I won't be at the only show I wanted to go to this year - Ed 38, as my sister is getting married that weekend! I'll have to catch up with you mate at some point - this is one Corrado I have to see!! -

Some fresh pictures. Seeing this car go is gonna kill me  -
A bit OT but my Mk1 GTI is featured in that issue of The Golf :D My pride and joy and that Corrado VR6 Turbo make that one special issue for me :D
-
its not a think, its a done - see the video on pvw site - the red corrado - chrisvr6nos was in the passenger seat on such occassions - its fact... Just checked out the video. So you're saying the straight line figures are M3/911 territory? If so fair enough. I'd argue that's just one element of "performance". Point to point, where all the other aspects of performance comes into it I think is a different matter.
-
Power isn't everything though - and I would have thought the rest of the package, ie. chassis and brakes would be the weak spot? As good as the Corrado is, and with mods I still doubt it'll match a M3/911, especially point to point. Neil - that M3 was obviously playing with you, IMO the E30 is a quicker car than the VR.
-
H8RRA, you really think you can out perform a M3 or 911??
-
That's what my Mrs just said
-
It's Lee's VR6: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=56

Yep agree, a bit harsh, BUT you could say it's fair comment when the car is described as the best Corrado in the world! I've always maintained, if you build a show car you've gotta be able to take the comments, good or bad. It goes with the turf!
-
Is it a standard car? The only standard colour that it could be is Sherry Red Pearl I think.
-
Mate you having a laugh?! £500 can only be for the fitting - look at the list of parts!!
-
Ah that unmistakable humor of dr_mat! This is the Corrado forum after all - we're all bound to be a BIT biased!! Still being as objective as possible a VR with induction kit is one of the nicest noises you will hear coming from a car. No question
-
The streetline kit is the budget kit ECP do and as with most things you get what you pay for... ECP also sell a Bilstein suspension kit called sprintline - more expensive but a much better quality set up as it uses the pukka shortened Bilstein gas shockers and matched springs. I fitted a kit to a Mk2 8V GTI and it lowered it perfectly by 40mm and I was hugely impressed by the ride quality - not much firmer than OE. No idea if a Corrado version is available but if it is it's worth considering based on my experience of it.

Nah Nick, only having 5 was the problem! There's loads of cars to pick from! It's difficult leaving out cars like the AM Vanquish, and I love the wail of the Ferrari 360! Oh and the M3 CSL!
-
Mine: 1. 993 with RS mufflers and motorsport airbox 2. Merc SL55 AMG 3. Audi RS6 4. Audi Ur-Quattro 5. Corrado VR6 with BMC CDA :D Could easily do another 5!
