Right, wheres the jap crap forum?
-
Possibly an immobiliser, try starting the car while flicking it either way. :) Edit:Not my mums old motor is it? g plate valver? that had one. :) Neil.
-
Edit:sorry Rob,missed your reply there...Dont you want to see the jap crap then? I reallly and truly wish i 'wanted' to do that duke_st :( but i just feel really dissapointed with Rado ownership... :( Maybe you have a fair point though...Corrado's as daily drivers...Not the best? The 4 doors of an evo 3 would be handy for the little girl too,i dunno  Anyone care to put a rough value on the car? It will have another set of rims too, fully refurbished 9x16's that will look the absolute b0ll0cks... Neil.
-
Wow. :( Gutted for you Lippy m8 :( I sort of know how you feel after someone torched a car of mine right outside my house, had to stand there and watch it burn...even saw them on cctv but they never got caught. All i can say is,dont let the bast/\rds get you down...all the best m8. Neil.
-
Thanks for the info m8 :D Did wonder about the running costs...but are they a better, more reliable car than a corrado...? 4wd/more power/look alright... Rolex, cheers m8 :) ive still got the old mk1 shell, which ive just bought a new engine and running gear for :D so the project is back on for the weekend/track car. Walesy... Now thats not a bad idea...as i sit here thinking about it...while needing to get out the house and make my dinner time delivery shortly...Just the one problem though...Corrado's broke again.  To be fair, ive always really tried my best to look after motors...for example, one wheel bearing went on the Rado...so got the lot done. The solid front engine mount was gonna get sold,so ive got all new ones here with all new bolts/nuts! not cheap!...etc etc. Gonna get a lift later on and go see the evo 3... Neil.
-
 Just dont think the Corrado's for me Rob :( Dont get me wrong, but it is a 'good un' as in the shell/bodywork/interior is all very good, engine is finally running well and serviced when needed...but its just one thing after another :( Neil.
-
Aye...dont mind the cupra's 8) Just spotted a lancer evo 3 very near to me...mmmm.Always thought the lancers 3 and 4 looked good but dont know much about them
-
Guys...what sort of power are the lancer evo 3's? :? Just seen a genuine pro drive edition impreza 337 brake horse for 4k...nice to drive but wouldnt own one. Neil.
-
Currently looking on autotrader...bmw's? and a lot of modern sh|t. The performance has never really done much for me tbh,and the reliability...jesus  Just never fallen in love with it like i would have liked... :( Neil.
-
Good to see one being saved,i had an absolute minter which i wrote off :( I think they are really good to drive meself. Neil.
-
Would you ever own another one? Me=Never in a million years...just wondering what else there is for similar G60 money...Anything easier to work on? more reliable? quicker? etc etc My heaps off the road yet again. Neil.
-
Cheers Neil :D Its all down to your advice and products though mate :D Any time Rob 8) Neil.
-
Mine were painted, but i dont think they make the headlight paint anymore... Changed a bit now  Neil.
-
Superb work Rob 8) Neil.
-
Think Furkz runs narrower rims on the front m8...still slightly dished though i think  Neil.
-
Prefer 'Minting' meself :D
-
Bugger :( i thought it was just higher power g60's that had this problem? Sounds about right really bluejoe...about the fatigue/stress. Whats the best way to sort it guys? weld it up? along with all 3 new genuine mounts? Cheers,Neil.
-
Noticed a slight banging the other day when on/off power...today i fitted all new injector seals and top hat things, all went well apart from a top hat getting stuck in the head  Anyway...had a nosey about checking for the source of the banging and... wtf? i run a solid front mount,is this whats caused it? And how best to sort it? a m8 can weld it and says it be stronger than before.Im gonna get all new mounts either way and get rid of the solid one. Neil.

I use mers rain away, and mers rain away screen wash on the outside.Does the job... And mers anti-fog on the inside. 8) All this gear works better/longer if you have minty clean glass first. :) Neil.

Andy...Receive the Bra alright? :) And the little something else? :) Neil. -
Try the old Microfibre trick Rob... After washing/drying the car...rub a microfibre over the rear/back bumper and if it drags slightly more than the sides then its probably worth claying...around the sills/bottom half at least... Was a waste of time on mine 8) Oh...and i love the headlights! :(
-
Looks absolutely fantastic Rob! :D Love the top/middle pic, looks propper tough  Good work m8,im sure you will keep it up! Neil.
