If you want Brembo CLaipers, best to get the Seat Ibiza Cupra R setup straight from Seat and then hoses from Bill Badger http://www.badger5.co.uk IIRC they've gone up to silly money now though for the kit about £700 unless someone wants to correct me, but thats claipers, carriers, disks and pads. I paid £400 for them when I got mine - but they've cottoned on!

It's days like today that I am really missing not having my car running!!!!!!!!!
-
Hi and Welcome! $200!!!! For that I wished I had got back my 90mm spoiler I gave to a mate before he sold it - I'd have shipped it for around $199

The cylinder heads for Jabba aren't actually done by Jabba, it's the same guy who does theirs, TSR Performances and a few others but I can;t remember who it is!!!

Controversial - Which type of Corrado has the best sound?

Be a long wait I'm afraid - The new pistons have only just been ordered and have to be designed, forged and shipped from JE in the States and then run in and mapped! -
Controversial - Which type of Corrado has the best sound?

I'd like to hear Henny's tomorrow, but unfortuanlty will not be there. More importantly for those that have heard my car in the past, I loved that sound. I can't wait to here what it sounds like on full chat now!!! I've had a sneak preview while it ran, but only below 3K revs! However the combination of a very lumpy assymetric 268/276 cam, ported head with big valves, now a 2030cc engine, induction kit and the 65mm toothed pulley kit the noise was just like nothing i've heard! I'm soooooooooooo looking forward to hearing it flat out, especially in the tunnels around the centre of birmingham!!! And also the faces of those in cars near me!!! -
I always use APC. Sent my entire engine to essex form birmingham on 24 hour delivery and it only cost £80!!!!

If I "guess" at it - Can I win the T-Shirt????????????????

I Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Wish it was as easy as that!

?? What on earth has that to do with my car  ??

I thought that originally Jim put 83mm pistons in - but he didn't he put 83.5mm!!!!! But heyho, I do like to push it to the extreme so I'm quite happy that they are that size!!! At the end of the day it's not an everyday carso why not push it!!!!
-
Well spoke to Jim @ Racepower today!! They have stripped the car down and engine is out! Jim has re-calculated everything and has ordered new pistons! JE Pistons have been ordered this time. Don't know on timescales until tomorrow when JE ring him back! But they are 83.5mm Pistons with a 22mm pin, 4mm Dish, and 33 Compression Eye Basically it will now be a 2030cc G60 from now on! Should be fun!

Actually the worst scenario is DIESEL in to a PETROL. Diesel is designed to burn when compressed (whereas petrol is not!), therefore needs a MUCH higher compression ratio - somewhere around 17 or 18. It is quite possible to run a diesel using petrol, some military engines are designed to do such this and the perfect example is a guy I work with has a BMW 535 diesel that is the twin turbo, one little one big that was on top gear. He put a full tank of petrol in in and drove it from london to birmingham with no damage. However diesel in a petrol engine will not burn as a simple spark is not enough to ignite it and the most likely outcome is it will block the injectors and worse. I actually used to every now and again put £2 woth of petrol in my pug 406 HDI - it used to make it go like the clappers and would clean all the fuel system out!!!!!

Will this Water Injection mix damage my engine in anyway??
Blue_Joe replied to Shaggy's topic in Engine Bay
But does the Nitro fuel have some sort of oil in it that acts as the lubricant for the little engine?? Wouldn't that be harmful, bit like putting diesel in the car???? -
Just because it's fast for 160bhp - doesn't mean it's not standard!!! The addition of the supercharger gives it plenty of Torque, which is the key to it's power - not bhp! However the way to check for the smaller pulley is to measure it, it's the only way!

I've been thinking about the whole rear brake setup as well adn preferably gettig some Brembo's to match the fronts. Let me knwo how you get on!
-
Both MOT's I've had on the car so far, TOUCH WOOD!! Never failed! But then mine isn't a daily driver and I do spend far too much on it!

The Rallye G60 is a better engine. The Oil and waterways are different. Head is a different design. It's allround a better and stronger engine I believe!

Corrado Spotting Was it you [Archive March 06]
Blue_Joe replied to biggrim's topic in General Car Chat
So who will be able to spot my G60 on the back of a trailer making it's way from Birmingham to Racepower Motorsport in Dartford tomorrow morning????? -
When I fitted my FK Silverline's I wound them down to about 1/4 of the way from the bottom. When I took the car off the stands It wasy literally sat with the body almost on the floor. I couldn't get the jack out from under the car and the wheels had disappeared into the arches.
-
Obviously by increasing the fuel flow you'd need a custom remap to ensure the car is fuelling to it;s optimum. If I was you, rather than just buying and fitting a set and thinking your getting the best performance, I would get yourself a set, don;t fit them. Get all of the car setup and take it to a reputable remappers such as I'll be using and Henny uses - Chipwizards in Manchester or one of the many other recommended places. When they have it on the rollers setting it up, if they say it is suffering from fuel starvation or could do with bigger inj and FPR you have them on hand to fit rather than coming back another day

I did this with my standard lights before I but the Inpro's on! All I used was car pinstriping from halfrauds and indicator tint paint. I actually used 2 tins and put lots of thin layers to get a good finish. It did look very good but prefered the look of the clear and red inpros on a black C

You would do better if you have bigger than standard injectors, getting as stated above a 3.5bar Fuel Pressure Regulator (same as they use on the porsche!). I've got Ford Motorsport Red Top Inj in mine with 3.5bar FPR
