Well, I'm back in the saddle again. And what do I reckon on Awesome? Place is tidy, people are freindly, service is good, my Miltek sounds great and my car now goes round corners like it was meant to. I'm eating crips butties for the next six months like, but there you go. Overall very happy. (if a bit skint)
-
Hope I'm seconding that sentiment in a day or 2 Joe. Mines going into Awesome for some much needed work this afternoon. (Give you two guesses on who's reccomendation)
-
Those (stupid) open ended lugs had completely snapped off on mine. Had to rebuild them using a big washer and some 2-part glue. Never found a quid in mine though, just a few McDonalds chips.

If I'm ever buying a new-un John. you'll be getting a shout, but cheers to H100VW for supplying the one I just got. Oh, Gav. By the way..... My missus, (after sitting, and watching me and yourself jibber-jabbering) said she thought there'd been a mix up at the hospital! I think that's a compliment mate. (to you, obviously)

Those crazy europeans and their kerrazeee alloys  -
According to BlackCircles.com H is rated up to 130mph N - 87 P - 93 Q - 99 R - 106 S - 112 T - 118 U - 124 H - 130 V - 149 Z - 149 W - 168 Y - 186 Seems odd Z isnt the highest rated, but I'm sure there's some reason.

Ahhh, nice one mate. SOLD! When's convenient for you to let me get it?
-
Jesus. Just been onto VW. £119.49 for a Corrado oil filled front mount, and £87.67 for the 1.8 D Mk 2 Golf solid one. I'm suddenly reminded why we call them Stealers! What is it that needs welding on that one of yours, Gav?
-
My front mount's gone as well... Was gonna get an oem one at the weekend but dunno now. Are the JMR solid mounts different from the golf diesel solid ones? How much do oem ones cost for comparison?
-
Finally got a wave from the girl with the blue VR (N* LUV) in Wigan, yesterday. It's only taken 10 months for her to "get it"

Not exactly a chuftie, but had a bizarre moment yestarday, watching my two 75+ year old aunties clambering out the back of my car at my nieces christening to rapturous applause and laughter from the family crowd gathered outside the church. My bro came over laughing and said "You've gone wrong, you" Combined age of car and all occupants was 231  (could've gone in my missus' focus, but where would the fun have been in that?)
-
Two ends of the spectrumthere then, mate... 2.0 8v to a stage 4 G60? HaHa, Bonkers! (many happy returns on the grin) :thumbleft:

The UK crosstich 11's final is on this Sunday instead

Mate, the ladybird book of sods law (chapter 5, paragraph 9) clearly states that if you'd put it up for sale off your own back, you wouldn't be able to get shut of it for love nor money. Good move to take the offer while it's there. :thumb right: Just hope you can live without wheels while you take your time looking for the next one.

Well and truly blanked on sunday by some older bloke in a blue VR with illegible typeface plates, on the Heinz factory road in Wigan.

Amen to that, but my biggest dilemma right now is what boxys to put on. Simpsons, or George?? :turn-l: -
 Ahhh.... I've got this great mental picture of that!
-
So you and Chris have never touched the Rado then, eh?
-
May not be the same thing, mate. But My gear linkage snapped a while back, and after geting it fixed by my *local specialist* the first time I put it in reverse I couldn't de-select it. AA bloke who came out had to uncouple the cable linkage, knock it out of gear, and re-attach it all. Have you ruled this out?
-
Hmmm. Me too. First time I've ever seen a pic of the bench sketch. Think I prefer the "Only got 3 mates" interior

Remotely spotted a Corrado this morning, via the missus on her way to work... G/F: "Hello Ian. Guess what? Theres a Corrado right behind me in traffic which is IDENTICAL to yours. It's got a private reg though... N* LUV" Me: "Actually luv, that's an aqua blue VR6, with, let me guess... lady driver with long black hair" G/F: "I'm going out with an anorak" Me:
