  1. this only shows that they have an approved procedure and does not ensure good workmanship and would not provide a legal basis on which to take action ps - what did you do in the air force? i was a sootie for 9 years  and built engines to the highest of standards, as you say 8)
  2. ....and what wrong with your 300bhp? 2.9 - thats about right, isn't it? ;) (after a few minor mods, that is  )

    What is this?

now you're really trying to confuse us!!!! You've posted a pic of one, so how can you say you haven#t got one??? 8)
  9. i thought it was 9.587? 8) ow quickly does the mtor crank? - if its slow, the first port of call is to get it checked as suggested above.
  10. just to rub it in a bit more - paul, nice to see your 24v on the road - or rather going sidesways in a 4 wheel drift at harewood house :) Comments made were a "DIG" at Coxy and in no way intended to diminish the time and effort that has gone in to actually GETTING YOUR CAR ON THE ROAD. (;)) Lets face it - most people don't get that far, and their projects end up SITTING IN THE GARAGE and never seeing the light of day.......... Oh, BTW, Coxy, did you enjoy the rugby at the weekend ????????? 8)
  11. Honestly mate, shouldn't be sharing that kind of thing on the forum dude :-) ????? Well that statement obviously wasn't made by me - so we know whats going through your mind kez!!!!!!
  12. I'm with jay - lets face it - theres very little going on car wise :) 25days and counting.............
  13. :-) I draw the line at flares and tan cords though... you bitch! I've got flared tan cords and they look spiffing  them there valves are faggoty little ones, not the manly bigun's in the 12v :?
  14. what model we on here? On the vr, the offside (drivers) pin is accessible from below if you jack it up - The nearside is more tricky if the cable has snapped as it would seem to have from what you've said. To do this side, I had to remove the grill, chop away the plastic radiator cowl to access the spring lever that retains the nearside pin and then use a tie wrap to loop around said spring lever to pull it and release the pin - see editted pic below
  15. ...if it ever gets on the road, we'll find out..........
  16. damn you, I'm looking at those manifold pipes in a whole new light now you started it!!! thats what sprung to mind when you posted that!!!! Bloody radio one did that to me yesterday as well when someone pointed out that richard ashcroft sings like jon bon jovi - every time i hear him now, i imagine big hair, hairy chest, lycra clad rockers!!!!!
  17. ....your such a "fashion victim" wire!!! just cos 24v's are all the rage - you've got a cracking 12v motor, stop picking on it -you'll upset it... :x
  18. a blinged up ****** rubbing in babyoil????? (please excuse to political incorrectness of this statement but I was watching the news on the BNP aquittal last night  ) *Welsh Editing Services PLC*
  19. (.....before anyone mentions the link source, specially selected for coxy.... )
  20. i stripped out my dash last weekened and offered up the climatronic but it appears the airconditioning pipes need to exit behind the abs setup..... :? Is that right Jay? Can you post a brief run-down of what need to be done and where the problem area's are?

    6 puck clutch

well i'm putting a fair amount through a vr clutch and its fine - i've heard many say they're good for at least 400bhp which isn't bad going.....
  22. bought some autoglym at dinnertime cos it was the first ting i came accross - will try b4 friday - the foaming tyre cleaner looks like a neat trick if it works..... had a quick shot on a VERY manky rocker cover last night and seriously impressed with how quickly this autoglym gear has lifted the years of caked crap!!! For a big 1litre bottle for £6.00, its a bargain.... hopefully will get some pics - and it doesn't smell that bad, in fact I had a good old sniff last night and had a great night when noddy and big ears came along to give me a hand - shame they had to go home early but their ride was amazing and painted in a lovely shade of yellow and red and was like sh1t of a stick!!!............................ :drinking: :silly:
  23. ner, ner, n,ner, ner surely (notice the close ratio 3rd).. ;) ner, ner,n,n,n,ner (my box. :) ) i think the vr's go forever if serviced and never had any issues.
  24. more than enough material here for an engine bay cleaning knowlede thread here...........
