  1. .....hardly surprising the amount of wheels you go through - you've got me at it now with bk's tt compo's and bbs rc's ;)
  2. I've got numerouos sets of wheels tha predominantly just need the outer rim skimming and polished to remove light kerbing - possibly thinking of powdercoating one set of bk299's as well. any advice where/how much? (In the north east or reliable serice by courier?) I've been quoted £235 to get BBS RC's 18" done totally refurbed but wold've preferred a quick skim/tidyup , especially when I have 4 sets to sort out !!
  3. regarding exec vehicles etc, its the drivers windows that have to be more than 70%, therefore you can tint driver and passenger door windows up to 30% and the rear etc as much as you like IIRC. can't recall if drivers windows are totally blacked out or not or whether its just the lack of light in there due to the rest of the vehicle being blacked out. thats why the cops have equpment to grade how opaque the window is. not need to remove tints just ensure the front windowa are less than 30% opaque
  4. ...with various options kicking about on EBay, I was wondering if anyone knew if nav units, such as pioneer avic 8 or 9 etc will work with these screens that can be bought for £2-300? It seems theres an few nav systems/brainboxes for sale (presumably the head unit/screen has been nicked) but will they hook up with other head unit/flip screens, other than the pioneer specific ones that add as much to the price as buying a complete system elsewhere. Any satnav system experts out there?
  5. i can sympathise but i suppose its like getting stopped for speeding and sayin, "I've slowed down now, so surely I shouldn't get 3 points cos its fixed now! :) " - Sorry if this comment isn't helpful but it made me chuckle ;)
  6. dodgy southern dealer, wires - i don't mind the "honest" northern chaps ;)
  7. .....as ben16v points out, most people seem to ignore the fact that dealers have very good gear and are very reasonable - i've had various vr's done and been charged £60-70 quid. Aftermarket / performance places take your eyes out by comparison - the dealers have always been my first and only point of call for this. You get a full print-out and everyting but do tell them you want a different setting to standard as Wires says, if your lowering. Depends how low you're going and what size wheels etc.
  8. Bit of a twanger, then..........reminded me of this - Rainbow, Finbar Sanders'esque!!! - one of the funniest things ever for those tha haven't seen it :)
  9. corradovr6nos has these - i have the wheels but not on the car :? theres some pics on this thread - clicky -
  10. oerrrr, chilly..............BEAT ME BEAT ME, BIG BOY! :D
  11. So chaps - I have some 18" BBS wheels but don't know exactly what they are? any idea of value as 18's (haven't checked the ET but they were bought to fit a corrado with std suspension so must be ET37+ ish?)and whether its worth reconditioning them as they have a bit of minor curbing???????
  12. £20 solid bar from machinemart or similar - definately the cheapest option and as rope is now illegal, best thing to keep in your boot. - clicky -
  13. Dont think this arguement stands up cos he would be wearing extra clothing in those conditions! Anyway I don't believe you can get that good at handling a snowmobile in England... so I don't believe its the same bloke. Hmmm doesnt account for the change in height. come on guys - i can't believe this is even being debated!!!!!! We'll put a racing driver on a snowmobile and send him down a ski jump slope. Get real, of course it was a different person - thats the whole pointof never seeing his face and allows top gear to put him in any situation. Sort of blows the myth that he is an individual and adds fuel to the fact that even the car testing is done by whatever down-and-out driver is available at the time. I quite liked the mystery of the first series and suspecting it was damon hill etc.................
  14. .... likewise - i had an email from the guy selling it but didn't check the mail till 5 mins after reuben bought the car...
  15. H8RRA

  21. o.n.o. !!!! Didin't dare ask if it went cheaper - serves me right - i should have bought the paper when i went past the newsagent this morning at 0730 and i'd have another corrado now.....
