Who's travelled the furthest for a car in one stint???
H8RRA replied to H8RRA's topic in General Car Chat
come on guys - furthest FOR a car, not IN a car - we've all runs through the continent, but just to view a car, not sure if you're going to buy it etc......... .........that the point of the thread - massive mileage that could end up fruitless.... -
....goos idea - nothing got wet as it was in inlet pipe in the engine bay that cracked - i'll give them a whirl
-
i've spent a lot of time trying to find it and i think a lot of other people have as well - must've been creatd for vw specificaly for the corado script as it never turned up yet to my knowledge

....having travelled a few hundred miles before to get a car, mainly corrado's, I wonder who's travelled furthest for a car in one stint??? Having woke up this morning with forum member rpmayne sitting outside my front door having been there since 0500 - drove all the up from Brighton overnight !!!!!!! (CRAZY    ) to then turn round and drive back almost straight away - i reckon a 750 mile round trip in one go is one hell of a stint!!!!!!! So, my nomination goes to richard, rpmayne and he's poor girlfriend who he dragged along to drive his escort back (she looked well p155ed off trying to catch a few zed's under the duvet in the front seat at 0700 this morning) CRAZY, I TELL YOU, CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!

..just done the heater matrix and the ABS light is now illuminated permanently - and as i found out, it is indicating an issue - skidded at 120+ earlier this morning and slid to the left  Any idea's - don't see why unplugging and re-plugging connections should cause any issues???
-
tats ridiculous - those other guys are totally shite - no-oe can be that much better.........

Sad, sad day - company car ownership looms....
H8RRA replied to stormseeker's topic in General Car Chat
Why?? Sounds great to me, company for the slog. C for the weekend blast. DAMN RIGHT!!!! Ideal situation - you'll have a no - claims policy you can't use as the company will pay this - get the c in the garage and do what you want to do and flog the ass off the company hack...8) -
sorry - forgot the smilies 8) ;) Anyways - if you're just doing a head - probably just as well with std - i'm always pulling engines apart so got arp's - a nice "to have" or necessity if fcukin around with the vr6 - don't really see why you wouldn't use them if you had them, as in, why you would have heard bad about them. Only reason i wouldn't use them is to save money. I'm off to hit a brick wall now then.......

glad to be of service

not being funny but your steering lock is buggerall to do with the MOT :D :D :D (Sorry but your blondeness made me laugh :? Nearly as good as our lass asking "........do they have gymnastics in the winter olympics?... ) he'll be referring to a locking device such as a split pin in the track rod end or some other such steering related part. poor terminology - should have said something like ".....track rod end locking device not present etc....." you never know, the dozy sod may have thought there was a split pin missing and you may have nyloc nuts 8)

????thats the whole point. You can reuse them and change the torque setting dependant on your set-up. Never been a fan of stretch bolts and this ".......torque to x lb fts and then 90deg and another 90DEG......." Can never find a bloody protractor when I'm doing a head  :? I've had mine on std setups, charged setups and currently charged with a spacer gasket without any probs feel a lot more comfortable with them than stretch bolts just a quick question, would there not be a risk of treading the block if you happen to put to much torque through the bolt yes. isn't there a chance of killing yourself if you crash into a brick wall at 100mph? the answer is both is yes but why would you want to do either?
-
looks like it cost a lot o corrado's mind. I'll have to make do with being able to seriously skin them but I do like it and am jealous of your ability to oversteer :x
-
either way, your door will have to be hacked to bits - i can't imagine a panelbeater being that bothered about fitting a hacked out bit of audi metal into your door. my brother-in-law (panelbeater, in case you were wondering) tells me its no prob.
-
....that'll be a scrappies, then ? 8)
-
surely this isn't for just the handles?????? Never investigated but i would presume youo could rob some from a scrappy and make the links once they're installed into your doors???
-
done tracking with a tape measure in desperation but its not exactly easy or spot on. tracking, camber, castor etc are far from easy without decent equipment which is where the difficulty comes in as most people wouldn't be buying the equipment necesary to do a good job. the minimum really is tracking gauges. If you tyres wear okay, take your steering wheel off and put it straight - don't understand your reference about steering wheet as its not really relevant
