Kev, you've just got no imagination........each one of them c's have been in the garage with engines in bits as well so it gets a lot more severe than in tha pic as well.....
-
yeah - but thats my garage and me sat behind my black one!!! Bloody neighbours are sick of the back lane always been full of corrado's!! One old bloke asked me.. "there must be something seriously wrong with these cars cos the wheels are off every week!!! Whats the problem with them?"
-
i'll have 2 - then i can customise them as my two corrados' and finally see which colour is fastest

...spoke to Raj at NS racing who won't be repeating the offer due to poor response this time round when even the guy who instigated the GP pulled out when it was offered. After going to Nick Saran with the proposal , only me and kev haywire have jumped on FOr all - and there've been a few just on here - who said they'd love the kit but need to save - unless you take this deal, it'll cost you £1500 more once you've got the cash unless you get a 0% card and buy now. In summary, buy now or you've blown it (pun intended) :?

easy peasy. remove inlet piping - couple of support brackets and wires and then allen head socket bolts at the front where the manifold sweeps down - this is i=the only awkward bit with the front of the car still intact.

the way i see it, there were 2 very simple solutions - put in the chicane or let the teams run numerous sets of tyres - in the interests of fairness, i would have went for numerous tyres as this would have not disadvantaged the dunlop runners as michelin teams would have had to make numerous stops. regardless of what the best solution was, one things for sure, the correct decision was not made and the whole organisation made absolute prats of themselves on a global basis and blew the biggest worldwide market they were trying to court - ie USA. someone wants shooting over this one - i was pissed off, never mind how the paying spectators and more ardent fans felt...

Walk out of work to find corrado with............
H8RRA replied to jenks's topic in General Car Chat
yeah...don't be scared of your feminie side - paint the car to match -
i've had scirocco's and golfs on classic at 10 years old - depend on the car, the company and whether they have added it to their classic list. the corrado can be insured with a company called craig and suttar - i enquired a while ago but i got a cheaper, normal quote from priviledge at £300 fully omp so didn't need classic

theres a few retrimmers in the north east - the first that springs to mind is in grangetown, sunderland on ryhope road. there was also some nissan staff that worked in trimming used to do govvy jobs to a high standard - i'll ask around.
-
without - looks like a sleepy corrado with droopy eyelids...
-
ditto - as for the v1/v2, i've been there. the v9 SQ is smaller, neater, quieter and less intrusive and more efficient. i found the v1 too loud and after seeing chris's install, decided a long tim ago this was the way to go - as luck would have it, this deal drops in my lap right at the right time :)

chrisvr6nos had his wrote off but kept it afer being paid out and repaired it - it is my understanding that even if your car is wrote off, you are insured to cover your losses - the insurance company does not buy your car when they write it off so it is totally feasible to get a payout and then repair it yourself more cost effecively. thats definately the way i would do....
-
kev - can you merge this thread with the one chris started on this topic yesterday? I didn't notice he'd started a thread after i ordered mine yesterday and we'd discussed stirring up some interest
-
it a simple process to tap the sump - basically i wouldn't pay to get one already done. NSR provide a chip which is definately superior to the one provided by c2. intercooling will come later but without one, i'll just loose power on warmer days - i have got nitrous thoguh which is the ultimate cooler - another plug - nitrous kit fitment also available. if you don't want any faff me and chrisvr6nos would fit it the stg2 kit does come with a better pullet arrangement
-
hmmmm.. maybe i was jumping in with both feet - i haven't investigated what they are or if they're ambidextrous(?) just spotted the info and remembered i'd seen this thread. ...and who's rho??
-
i've orderd from raj b4 - i'm not sure if he did me a favour or if he will sell to more on individual basis - one thing i do know is that there's no way he'll discount that price - i tried very hard to get maybe other bits thrown in but he wouldnt budge - If a group buy is to progress, i think chris'll lead it as he posted the info yesterday and i didn't notice before i posted this thread....

.......re-joining the SVR Club (this'll be my 3rd charged VR!!) http://www.vf-engineering.com/vw_mk3vr6.htm Ordered Stg2 polished kit from Raj at NS Racing yesterday :) :) :) Absolute bargain!!! £2350 + polish for £60 Massive discount now available - if anyone ever wanted a charged VR, nows the time to buy - Fitting service available  Seriously - if anyone wants a kit fitting, drop me a line and me and probably chrisvrnos will sort it out in a blink of an eye 280+BHP, here i come - thats until i get the ABT 3.3 engine fitted and multipoint NOS fitted and P8PRO and then who knows!!!!!!!! 400+??
-
http://www.sfxperformance.com/performan ... 111750.htm £220 + supply from USA - canny discount!!! anyone fancy a group buy?????
-
well, of the c's around my area, chrisvr6nos has 170k, chrishill 120k i think and i have 2 with 155k and 135k and they all pull like trains still, so i definately view the vr engine as above average for longevity
-
personally, i've bought 2 vr's that needed head gaskets for 1500 and wouldn't touch a valver for anywhere near that. I'd suggest just sticking a gasket on - if its had a head rebuild and everything else is in order it may just have been poor workmanship and may cost less than £50 with oil cx etc and its sorted. worth a shot
-
i can't believe that guy actually went to so much bother to replace the matrix when he didn't need to and then went to the bother of cataloging it all in such detail!!! -Fair do's but must have too much time on his hands and be seriosuly dedicated!!!! I replaced mine and wouldn't want to do it by choice again except tha i have a climate control system to fit - that'll be fun
-
typical problem where silver bracket thingy - can't remember proper name - has broke. this happens when the roof hasn't been greased up sufficiently and the bracket just snaps under load. you can either - get a repair kit - other on here will have details - fit a second hand cartridge as its fun and games to repair yours - i've done this numerous times and know the sunroof inside out but that comes from hard experience and i didn't enjoy the learning process - fit a glass sunroof which have stonger silver thingy brackets and are more durable long tern than the corrado's - i personally like the glass roof - some don't I have a spare glass roof if your interested?
-
where are all these second hand kits people are referring to??
-
can't decide what looks messed up most - your car or your ankle!!!!

i editted the info on the site, chris, to make it more compact and easier to read - if you prefer the site, fair enough - i prefer the editted file which is handy and save-able / edittable etc on my hard drive.
