Got the chance of a full interior - how bad a job is the dash and what good is the rest??? Apart from the seats, don't s'pose the rest'll be any good???

Recently had to replace a heater matrix (horrible job!!) and have seen mention of others going. How bad a problem is this and any suggestions to prevent it - ie inhibitors in the water system etc...??? Don't really understand why it failed cos its tucked away nice and cosy. Any ideas cos i wouldn't want to do it again. If theres anything that can be done, I would advise all to take preventative measures cos its an awful job of dash out etc...

.....and do my 2 vr's with 130k count as 260,000 in total, which make me the highest miler :?: - or even corrado one - 130,000 corrado two - 130,000 vr spare 1 - 45,000 vr spare 2 - 50,000 (Guess) AAA block - 80,000 (Guess) That makes a grand total of 435,000miles covered on the engines in my garage :D

sounds like your car suffers from premature ejaculation or impotency kev  -
I would guess that small amounts of water injected into a normally aspirated car would increase the charge density to give more oomph?? Obviously a forced induction set up will be hotter at the inlet but will the cooling effect have any bearing on normally aspirated? Surely steam injection increases the temperature and only serves to increasing the charge density which gets back to my opening statement????

i always thought it was a standard feature but people don't realisebecause of the unusual way it works. Ive had a LHD 16v and 2 vrs and they've all had it -
chris, console yourself that his car doesn't look that smart at all and your corrado is much more select and better looking - don't kid yourself that a standard VR would have caught him either mind  Anyway, you don't need to drive fast when your car looks good, certainly better than a scooby
-
shame the bushes don't last as well though chris :( - the engine certainly can handle it thoguh cos the bores were surprisingly good.

try halifax - they give 10% discount if you pay with a halifax credit card or from a halifax account. I spent ages looking and Admiral were cheapest at £560 FC. When i tried Halifax, it was £330 FC    Will have to try the accountant working in a library trick with my 153 mother as second driver  and declare the 4 houses i own (I wish)

my little girl is 6 and is considered really cool with the boys at school cos her dad drives a c vr6 and a ducati 748. Thats good enough reason for me to keep both and maintain the bairns street cred
