  1. not going to flame the owner. its not to my taste personally (I just can't get enough of the original look), but as said earlier - if he's happy then that should be all that matters
  2. very nice mk2 tbh. love them in black. though would agree it can only be improved by changing the wheels and the seats :) keep us posted !
  3. There are people on here who do something similar I think. Though a search on 'which AND corrado' or something to that effect will give you more information than this post would tbh :)
  4. I'm happy with it so far - the setup is very stiff though - gives very direct handling which i love, though bumps are not pleasant. When I had 17s on the car was basically like a big go-kart to drive. I'm in two minds to replace the springs to slightly softer ones and raise the ride height by 5mm. The 15s have brought added some extra ride comfort but I could tell instantly that some sharpness in the handling was lost... A track day will give me a real idea of how good the overall setup is... :)
  5. looks tidy mate :) good purchase - theyre fun cars to drive these Corrado's!!
  6. Yeah really pleased with the BBS'. they need refurbishing though I'll hold off till spring to do that. Suspension was fitted by the last owner - Vipertech (lowering by 40mm), new bushes too :)
  7. Cheers for the comments guys - so far its a good running car that hasn't given me any trouble - even after being offroad for a month during some engine work it started first time... Great when a 13.5 year old car does that :) Bally - no, its just they need replacing - the silver reflective backing has started to flake away so they almost look dirty. I'll sort them sometime soon...
  8. when trying it out on a private road, 130 seemed fine - quite stable but just to agree with others, input was sensitive :)
  9. Well, finally got round to taking some pics after some initial work and a clean! Had the car a few months now and have been getting some essentials done to it including supercharger rebuild, replacing belts and fluids, fixing locks, horn etc. Very happy with the purchase still and have lots more planned for it. For now am focusing more on improving the cars condition and prolonging its life rather than increasing power - although a few track days are planned this year so the next few months leading up to it will be 'productive' ;) Heres a snapshot of current progress :)
  10. andy - interested to see scottish ones... msn away :)
  11. i've just paid about 32 quid including VAT for a serpentine belt (i.e. the one with alternator and supercharger runs on)... sounds like youre being quoted for the wrong belt tbh. the PAS belt is tiny in comparison - Supercharged's price estimate sounds more accurate...
  12. KidDub - sold me a full set of solenoids - were as described and well packaged - arrived quickly too! Cheers!
  13. My car already had a full s/s system with de-cat when I bought it. The rear box I believe was requested to have little silencing (it was a custom order made) and the oval tailpipe is a good 5/6 inches wide!! Generally I find it a little too noisy day to day, but when you're booting it and start the car up I love it... I'm sure my system is louder than most e.g. Milltek etc It may be worth going to a track day near you and getting an idea of what exhaust you like the sound of or how loud you like it... Wheels - theyre great thanks, cleaning them up this evening and theyre being fitted on Saturday :)
  14. My G60 is de-catted and between that and the rear box, its LOUD!!! Verging on too loud actually...
  15. not what i wanted to see with lunch in front of me... thankfully its carrot and corriander and not tomato soup...
  16. exactly, make the decision to move from the g60 when it feels 100% in your mind... personally think youve made the right choice
  17. LOL... 2 years on, I still cringe turning the heater vent onto the screen  its the early style sliders that have got to be worse - mine dont move easily and i'm waiting to hear a snap some day
  18. would agree with whats already been said. don't have bagfulls of confidence in them when its wet (back end has given way once recently with little pushing). Step in the Eagle F1s...
  19. sounds like we may have to get a personal stash of discontinued items for when the inevitable happens (cracked headlight lenses etc). Bulk buy now!!!
  20. ahh right - would need to try and confirm that as I'm positive my C has blueish tinting... the glass on sale is described as blue-green...
  21. Seen a driver side window online that came from a 94 VR. Seeing as I have a 91 G60, would the window still fit? - not sure if a slight update post 92 would mean there may be fitting issues... Thanks :)
