pentre maelor or however you spell it, my mate knows who he is he drives a 1.4 nova he reckons the badge would have been on the back of the nova the next day

went round to a mates house yesterday to help him with changing his brake pads, after about 10 minutes he mentioned oh i just got silent hill 4 for the xbox so we left the car for about an hour or three as it had just started raining anyway. we decided to get back to doing the brakes opened the front door and to my shock  some little scrote was trying to pull the supercharged badge of the back of my c so i went to chase after the little fecker, when he reallised he was off like a shot, well i still had the wheel brace from my car in my hand and when i realised i wasnt going to catch him (too many cream cakes and beer) i lobbed it at him, not really expecting to get him with it, it was like something from a film it twatted him straight across the back of the head and he went down like the pile of sh!t he was, i realise that i could have seriously injured him but at the time i just saw red, anyway he got back up and carried on running again but me and my mate where too busy pissing ourselves laughing to chase him anymore, i think he got what he deserved though :-P  he didnt damage the car or the supercharged badge but one of the little plastic bungs that the corrado badge pushes into has gone, can you buy these from vw??

i might be wrong but that looks like a sealed flourescent gas filled tube type display and is not backlit so if its faulty it will need a new display :( seems strange that the reset button sorted some of it though :? has the face plate been dropped/sat on at all :?:

rm's with mirror pollished rims and metalic black centres

that explains whats propping up the 11mm charger belt on the g-werks site then  class

i found the following pro's and con's pro's slightly better mpg better boost when at full temperature charger runs much cooler the awsome psssshhhhhh sound  con's none whatsoever (altough the psssshhhhh sound is not to everyones taste) the sound at idle is the same without the boost return, there is no real need for a filter on the throttle body as it only ever blows outwards, it dosnt effect the vacume system at all the main reason for this mod is to eliminate the hot allready compressed air being fed back through the system, hotter air =lower power, also the inside of the charger is coated with a special coating which gets prematurely washed away by the hot oily air, i think the only reason the return is there is for emissisions standards
-
ah ok that is different to the uk spec g60 we dont have that sensor whatever it is im sure someone will know what it is and if you can just disconnect it not sure about the isv re route? mine just has the filter directly on the isv and a pipe straight from the oil breather to ground i will try and post some pics up 2 moro as for the second filter on the charger if it has a cold air feed and a heat shield it would be effective otherwise its just getting hot air from the engine bay i think the single filter flows plenty of air allready though
-
you will have a very oily engine bay   mine just feeds to a pipe that goes under the car and i have an aluminium bottle for when its mot time you also asked what to do about the sensor on the boost return line if you are talking about the top plastic hose on the right of the engine thats not the boost return pipe its the boost feed from the intercooler which you dont alter the pipe you remove is the one that goes from the top of the charger to the bottom of the throttle body

http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... sc&start=0 there are plenty of posts explaining how to do it on here i made a kit up myself by getting the bits seperately from demon tweeks but i didnt really save much at all by doing that as you can buy the kit ready to fit from g-werks for a bit more
-
yep about 10 people with first hand experience praising g-werks :notworthy: and 1 person with second hand info slating them
-
im pretty sure if he had raised the issue with the lads at g-werks they would bent over backwards to sort it out i personally dont believe they would do that having seen the standard of their work first hand and seen them working on chargers myself :| did he actually raise this issue with them and are you sure it was g-werks as this definately dosnt sound like them to me the drive belt on my charger was stripped after the monkeys at a vw garage changed the charger twice without changing the oil feed line (which was the cause of the damage) costing the previous owner over £5k in new chargers and labour when i sent my charger to daz he found a few more problems with it than just a stripped belt including an incorrectly pressed in exhaust bearing which had worn into the end of the main shaft and destroyed the exhaust seal and a poorly fitting seal collar all of which he replaced for the standard re-build charge

"maximum cloverdrive"

yep i can definately vouch for g-werks. fast friendly service sent my charger down from north wales on a wednesday and got it back on the friday 8)
-
yep done the same as henny, its amazing the difference a decent size ground and 12v supply straight from the battery make, the screen on my hu used to dim with the bass until i gave it a decent supply
-
depends on the headunit some need both some dont

this must be the inspiration for most of the chavs in wrexham who all sit in the staples car park at night........... sad fcukers
-
oh yeah sorry its a corrado you will probably have to replace the whole wiring loom, the engine, all sensors, switches ect....ect......... just check all of the fuses on the fuse box on the right hand side below the steering column

sounds like a blown fuse to me

Corrado T-Shirts ideas/Pre-Production NEW DESIGNS IN! 10/11
coolrado replied to Red=Fast's topic in General Car Chat
most of those new designs seem geared toward the us market but most of the forum users (potential customers) are in the uk so the interstate and slow traffic keep right dont really work here t-shirts with photo's on them allways look crap after the first few washes and the fine detail dosnt translate onto the fabric very well the outline idea seems to work better though. i thought the original g-unit one that was posted up looked better quality the black/red/white ones just look a bit "blackpool seafront" tacky imo they might look better on a black or dark blue t-shirt i would just prefer something that i would actually wear without looking like a tw*t (i know i dont need a t-shirt to make me look like a tw*t before anyone else suggests it)
