Corrado T-Shirts ideas/Pre-Production NEW DESIGNS IN! 10/11
coolrado replied to Red=Fast's topic in General Car Chat
i have just thought of another idea for the t's french connection uk have FCUK as their logo for the obvious reason it looks like the word F*CK we could have corrado nut as CNUT so it looks like C*NT  -
no solutions but a possible cause could be cheap screenwash the stuff with a high alcohol content tends to harded the wiper blades and they wear out quickly and also car wash detergents seem to harden rubber the vw own stuff seems to work better

i think the whistle is normal as the chager produces more boost than the engine can use on part throttle so constantly dumps it to atmosphere and only goes quiet when on full throttle as the boost is being used mine does it too and i dont have any boost leaks (i quite like the little whistles and hisses it makes) watched mad max on dvd yesterday and suddenly realised why henny's toothed belt coversion noise sounded familiar its the whir from the interceptors engine 8)
-
yep i got the mcguard locks for mine after the tri lock ones snapped one of the mods please feel free to edit/delete my "how to nick a tidy set of wheels" suggestions  and i will pm it to Oakley or is there a way it can be made availiable to members only i just thought if someone is scum enough to nick someones wheels they would know the tricks allready
-
i didnt need a special drill to get mine off just a normal hss drill slightly smaller than the size of the thread, the head of the locking wheel bolt was actually very soft, just drill deep enough to weaken the thread at the base of the head of the bolt, and then pull on the opposite side of the wheel and it shold snap quite easily thats what i did for two of them, and used a stud extractor for the other two, you can pick a set of stud extractors up for about 5 quid from machine mart

this happened to me when the crappy three pin wheel lock key broke a couple of weeks ago

you are running the engine until its warm to test it arent you?? dosnt the oil temp only start to show a reading after a certain temperature :?:

they mean the flexible rubber boots where the cables feed from the car to the boot at the top. the cables do sometimes go brittle with age and break inside the rubber boot if that has happened it should just be a case of pulling back the boots and re-connecting the cables (just dont use yee haaa scotchlocs) the spoiler mech shares the same earth as the rest of the electrics in the boot so if it had no earth the number plate lights, fogs ect wouldnt work either check for a supply to the motor at the motor end of the loom

are they those spinner wheels  :pukeright: -
yep they are definately female cost a fortune to maintain, other blokes allways stare at them, can make annoying noises if loads of money isnt spent on them, georgeous to look at, and after a good screwing (around a track) they make you weak at the knees

  Er sorry mate! these vr6 owners .........i dunno
-
its a g60 they only have one fan  unless one of my fans has also fallen off
-
they have sold you all of the parts seperately  the part number listed here is for a wiper blade and arm set  and possibly due to the amount of corrado owners ordering them the price of the set has now dropped and is almost the same as the arms on their own  it seems like you need to go in to the stealers with the part numbers as when i asked the guy to look for wipers and arms for a lupo he came up with all the bits seperately and didnt know they where availiable as a set
-
you should be able to delete it yourself by clicking on the x in the corner in the other post

i ordered a pair of these this afternoon while i was getting some g12+ after changing the stat . i gave the part number to the parts bloke and he said "erm what year is your lupo" so i explained what they where for and he said "oh cool any idea if they will fit a mk4 golf too" he then looked quite confused when he saw the price £22.44+vat and said "bloody hell thats cheaper than the arms on their own i think we might order a few sets and split them" any idea if they would fit a mk4??

polyurethane  polypropelene is what they make carrier bags out of

jack the front up and put it on axle stands whip the wheels off undo the ball joint clamp bolt (behind the brake disk guard) and remove the bolt completely then either use a ball joint splitter or the dodgy method find a flat ended screwdriver/pry bar and slightly lever the gap open that clamps the ball joint tapered stud, while keeping downward pressure on the lower suspension arm, which should eventually pop out. then simply undo the three bolts that hold the ball joint in place and slide it out installation is the reverse of removal but im not sure on the torque specs at the moment it might be worth getting your camber/tracking done after you have changed them as there is some adjustment in the ball joint mounts but from what you are describing it sounds like its your camber and or tracking thats the problem as worn ball joints just seem to cause an "odd" felling in the steering sort of vaugue and clunky when hitting bumps ive just changed both bottom arms with bushes both ball joints brake disks and an outer cv boot which only took a few hours but it felt horrible to drive afterwards like it was on the edge of loosing grip all the time and very twitchy at speed, took it to demon tweeks the next day and the camber was perfect but the tracking was a mile out and once they had sorted it, it drives better than it ever has :D hope that helps
-
might be worth getting your tracking/camber checked first the bottom ball joints are cheap and easy to do as well (makes a change)

I haven't got it re-trimmed yet mate, thats standard TVR trim. It's a nice cream/sand color but it has red stitching which dosen't match my blue car! Still deciding what to do about re-trimming! Just another expense at the moment..... need to get the car on the road first.. might be cheaper to re-spray the car to match the stitching  -
try rs components they do a mini siren called the banshee which can produce pretty much any tone you like (including the star trek whoop sad i know) and the bong bong noise and can produce 120dB (it is adjustable by the way) we used to fit them to industrial control panels in places like jcb or bicc i think they are about a tenner
-
tear a chunk out of the rubber trim and say whatever hit the screen also took a chunk out of the rubber that way they have to change it  but tell them the trim is damaged before you get there so they can order one in for you :| i need to take mine in soon as a broken lorry wheel bolt has cracked mine in the corner and the rubber trim dosnt sit very well either :(
