I have done this with my golf, just cut of the 2 dtm pipes then welded them back on shortened and upside down, looks lots better!

I would simple relocate the heater controls to the glovebox. Then you could still rip out the air con, you will have to open up the heater box behind the dash to pull out the other rad, aswell as all the bits under the bonnet
-
Its not just the controls that are different, I used to have a us spec corrado, and the controls work via a vacume air opperated system, where as the brit or none aircone cars have cables. Hope that helps, I can tell you more if you want?

Ultraleds are good, thats who I use!

I have LED indicator bulbs in my golf, I had to fit a big load resistor to slow down the flashers, but they did pass the mot, and they are just as bright as standard bulbs in any light! My side light bulbs are way brighter than standard!

Bentley says you should tighten the nut so that you can move the washer behind it with a screw driver with out having to pry it!

VR6 mine struggles to go up with out the front bumper on
-
There is a company that do one that looks the same as the golf spoiler but is made for the Corrado, but I cant remember who does it.

Passat G60 swap - seriously considering it...!
gibber replied to gradeAfailure's topic in Engine Bay
As a time frame it took me 3 weeks to get it all into my km4 cabrio (basicaly a mk3) But I had problem swapign the cluch from cable to hydrolic, had to swap the gear selector from rod to cable shift. But basical a lot of it is plug and play. I found I had to use the corrado clocks. If you need any more help let me know. it all tho it has cost me near to 2k to get it in and to do it right with all new consumables. -
Wilko its great you put your foot down and it fu*ks off haha!
-
I will glady take out anybody and scare the pants off them if they see me at a show, or want to come to mine one day!

Oh the fun of the SC'd VR you guys dont know what you are missing, it is well worth the money!
-
Well my us spec corrado had the normal colour roof lining, so it cant be standard.

You shouldnt realy be reving your car that high when it is parked up, you can do all kinds of damage. IT could be just the needles momentum taking it past where the red line is! I think it would be best to floor it in 3 all the way up and see where the needle stops, it should be around 6900 rpm
-
Its still running a bit rich tho! Any ideas? Does it need a propper set up? Currently an AMD chip, 70mm pulley, stage 4 charger with an RSR, jetex exhaust with decat. Hey they realy dont run too well without an intercooler tho. Twin inlets and open boost return make for one strange sounding mk4
-
Right guys hint for you all, never try to run a G60 of a 1,2 bar fuel pump, it just dont happen :lol:
-
Plugged the g60 clocks in and the oil light and rev counter work fine! I dont believe no one can offer me any help as to why it bogs down under boost!
-
I was thinking the vac pipe on the G60 was just for the MFA? the golf clocks dont have this vac pipe! When I say the MFA dont work, it doesnt go off the clock.
-
Yeah piped it up with out the intercooler for the time being, You want to see the looks I got driving around the streets with no front bumper, grill head lights haha! Yeah blue temp off it drops the revs to about 600 rpm. Tried running an extra earth from the battery to the lambda but had no effect.
-
Right then, I have just finished fitting my G60 engine out of my corrado into my mk4 golf cabrio, (for those that dont know the mk4 golf cabrio is baised on a mk3) I have a few problems. 1) The rev counter at idle is at 4k, and the engine is at 900rpm. Wen you rev it the needle goes off the scale. 2) Wen the engine is warm the oil light and buzzer comes on, wen you rev it they both stop, it didnt do this before the engine conversion. could be the clocks! 3) it seems to be runnning very rich! 4) When you drive it it just bogs down when it comes onto boost. Do I need to try and graft in the G60 clocks? Anyone got a list of things for me to check? The speedo and MFA also arnt working! But on the lighter side, it starts up!

I got a lhd wiring loom, that I could cut bits out and send you you?
