  1. lol i have a 2l 16v giving about 22 ATM, usually closer to 40mpg
  2. the one in there is OE, just has a Q suffix and the wires aren't long enough to route through the clamp, ju's wondering if I actually need to get another or if this one is up to the job.
  3. I was thinking though - if the lambbda was giving the wrong readings, the car wouldn't be running crap from startup would it? As I thought the lambda signal took a while to settle Also, do you reckon the Q suffix is the wrong part then?
  4. We had no signal across the old one and replaced it with one that Yan had, a superseded part (same number - Q suffix) but the wire isnt long enough to route properly so we guessed it's the wrong part and I should get the correct suffix.
  5. Hi all, Will be decatting the 'rado and I need a new lambda as well - although the correct part is on ETKA for my 92 16v (9A) with CAT, I'm wondering if I need to go for the one for cars without a CAT as there is no need to keep an oxygen content of 2% or whatever it's sposed to be. Any ideas? Cheers,
  6. It really bother me too. I had a blow out on the m/way in an empty transit and managed to keep control, if i'd been on the phone, no way, I'd have been a goner. Only takes one thing like that to keep you paying attention!! Unfortunately, I've noticed the cops ignoring a lot of "easy kills" with regard to fixed penalties lately, like tons of these chavvy motors with blue lights and neons all over them brazenly cruising around with the lights on, what's that about?
  7. Amen to that - i can see more speed cameras from my house than fields so a valver suits me just fine. Plus it's a corrado  so you can just give all boy racers a look of disgust and they don't even try
  8. Not yet mate, money's a bit tight this month so working through it slowly. Hopefully Gavin's idea about the crank pulley will hold some water, gonna check that all this week.
  9. dont talk to me about valvers at the moment
  10. I thought the numbers on the guage told you the max volume....
  11. yeah thats what i was thinking - its a really nice thought - my work however, probably be an AA membership
  12. Ahhhh so its your mate in work with a similar car to mine then a girl in work's always saying that she thinks she sees me driving away from work in the mornings...I wish
  13. Thats crazy! i've tried that and had really poor results what am i doing wrong? lol
  14. Best looking i'd say late 60's/early 70's corvette stingray - what i'd give to own one of these babies Worst I'd say new micra - looks like a thin car has been squeezed over a fat one! :pukeright:
  15. Agreed, really nice burble at idle - quality exhaust
  16. lol - yep my 2l 16v has some ECU fault finding ability.
  17. new heater matrix - £92 + VAT total incl labour - £507 + VAT!!
  18. not hard at all - you loosen and remove alternator drive belt, then loosen PAS pump and plonk on new belt (you'll need to get under the car to do this easily). I doubt changing the belt will make much difference if its the pump thats whining TBH EDIT - mine was loud, new fluid made a bit of a difference but belt made none
  19. not yet but Cardiff VAG quoted £20.60 odd plus VAT lol!! Did advancing the timing get yours to run okay befoer you fixed it then?
  20. this thread makes me sad  I'll be lucky if mine makes it to e38!
  21. those roads look sweet though!
  22. Hello and welcome to the forum - quality number plate btw
