If there was less air, why would the engine compensate by putting more fuel in? Surely it would be telling it more air was getting in, therefore, more fuel could be burnt?

I'd hope that at least for that price he gets a day on the rollers and his own custom map rather than them just dropping a chip in! :shock:

Probably just the wiper arm connection to the spindle. Would be odd for one arm to stop working and not the other.

I'd say that if you can find a good VR for £3.5k you'd be doing well, but you would almost certainly be spending most of the remaining £1.5k just to get it into good order. There's plenty of decent C's available for around £5k though so you just have to see as many as possible and get a feel for what to look for.
