16VG60 has a twin Milltek, one on each side. Looks rather tasty

Geez, you must have a big old oil cooler?
-
I like the fact that in your pic the battery's gone on fire and there's a hole in the SC.

It's because the car takes so long warming up when it's idleing meaning that the engine will wear more. By driving the car gently from cold you may only take 5 mins to warm the car up whereas on the drive it might take 10 mins to warm up.

That explains the Saturday coffee only-service.

You can always tell the owners who use their cars to commute in, always in MPG mode on the MFA!

I only wait until my oil gets to 80. Some cars don't run much above this anyway so waiting until 86 is perhaps a little over cautious. The oil only has to become less viscous, it doesn't have to be at "racing" temperature

I've spent over £2000 with John and can't fault any of his workmanship and he'll always make time if you've got a problem. After recent problems when using another more local garage I won't let anyone else near my Corrado.

Been using Hope Sh!t Shifter lately, another MTB product and it's the best thing I've ever used: From the website: http://www.hopetech.com/products/products_index.htm "Many cleaning products contain silicon, polish or other additives which have a detrimental effect on disc brakes. Problems caused range from squealing to total loss of power. We realised that the only way to stop these problems would be to produce our own range of cleaners. Sh1t Shifter is the first of these products. It is a bike wash which has been specially formulated to be safe for use on disc brakes, anodising and painted surfaces. It is available in 1 litre containers, all supplied with trigger sprays and of course comes in Hope green."

..and the magic resistor for 27p off ebay!

I've got a Jabba chip and 68mm pulley and my car does NOT make 190 bhp. It's tosh! :)

Just bung the sacks in after you've cooked yer pizza while it's cooling down ;)

How about a Corrado where the trim covering the centre console doesn't lift up and sit flush with the gear knob surround? Man that bugs me

I recently bought a base model Alpine CDE-7841R for about a £100 and put it in my GF's MX5. It sounds really nice with the £50 Fusion speakers I got to go with them. It's also got a built in high pass filter to stop the speakers from receiving potentially damaging sub-bass frequencies and it goes surprisingly loud and keeps the sound very clean indeed. I can't reccomend it enough; not too many flash buttons, just nice sound quality. The radio's good as well, it tracks the signal really well if you travel accross frequency boundaries. Can't see any downsides really for the money! :) It's also got one pre-out with a remote sub adjuster should you ever go down that route.

I've seen Schumacher's Bugatti EB110 at the FOS which was a special one off bodied completely in raw carbon fibre

Cheers to TREVR6 for the keyring. After I sorted out Paypal  the keyring arrived the next day. The perfect addition to the man who has everything!

Gonna stick my neck out here. If you've got good quality well insulated RCA's and well insulated power cable the interference can be minimal to nothing. I completely agree that it's best to separate them and should be considered best practice though. My old Polo system was running two modest sized amps (700w RMS between them) and the RCA's and power cables were routed next to eachother (Avoid Road Radio ;)) but there was no buzzing or interference.

Normal water temp - HIGH oil temp. Is is safe to tune?
Neil VR6 replied to G60 Bob's topic in Engine Bay
Mine's got to 114 after a motorway run and then sitting in traffic immediately afterwards but that's as high as it'll go with the Mocal. It's only a tiddly cooler as well. -
Does the microphone bit come with the lead as well? My lead was zip tied to one of the boost or coolant pipes and has rubbed off the insulation :(

Sitting above 5000 for a long time! Geez, that's rapid progess! In 5th that's over 100 isn't it? -
I never knew that, after nearly a year of being on the forum! :) They're not on the website are they Darren?
-
K&N do cleaning kits so don't bin the filter! :)

It's about time that somebody approached the likes of RadTec, Pace, Forge or whoever and got one of these made up as a kit. Jabba have done but their shoddy workmanship when rebuilding G Laders has pretty much gauranteed that nobody on this forum at least will buy anything from them. Wouldn't G Werks want to design something that they could both fit AND sell?

Storm prices always seem to vary wildly. Bit silly for some different wheels and different colour interior and paint. Oh, and a Storm badge which owners are too scared to fit because they get nicked all the time. I suppose you pay for exclusivity! There were Storms on Autotrader for nearly £13K when I bought my G60.

I've used GSF a number of times and usually get a 10% discount if I mention I'm a member of an owners club. The guys on the phone are always helpful and the bits arrive quickly.
