  1. Has anybody used these as boot lights in place of the standard bulb? They're only a few quid and wouldn't look too chavvy and tasteless: http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products ... _uid=42959

    Corrado Gallery

Mine and my fav's gotta be Johns, looks nice and subtle but goes like the clappers whilst retaining originality. (DelMonty's post) The UPS brown one is my fav for styling only though. I love this one too as the wheels suit it so well:
  3. You might have wanted to put that post here: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 9&start=30 :)
  4. I struggle to see you you make up that potholed road to the workshop. It must be a very precise line you take!
  5. Gotta be TG. Hugely entertaining and something to get my GF vaguely interested in cars! That episode of 5th gear with that guy drifting the motorbike when racing that Westfield or Radical or whatever it was was fantastic though. It's very "channel 5" though, A bit rough round the edges.
  6. You can fit one but the fact that a supercharger produces boost all the time means that you already have a dump valve of sorts (on the throttle body). There's a butterfly which diverts usused boost back into the secondary inlet of the charger when the throttles not wide open and the engine's not "using" all the boost. If you look on the top of your throttle body you'll see lots of little mechanical bits and bobs and if you manually operate the throttle you'll see some other levers and stuff moving beneath the throttle body (it's a bit hard to see). This is the boost return mechanism. Some people blank off the secondary inlet to the charger as it feeds warm air back into the charger which ultimately is a Bad Thing. They then put a small breather filter onto the outlet near the throttle body. Then you end up with a big bunch of noise as the unused boost mentioned above is vented to atmosphere rather than back into the charger.
  7. You don't need a dump valve on a supercharger car. Have a look on the Search for some more info on this :)
  8. I think it depends on loads of things, air temperature and track temperature, tyre pressure, tyres, engine power, whether or not you've taken your sub and/or spare wheel out the boot and above all; skill! You've got to be brutally quick with your gear changes. 14.9's a good time. The G60 gearbox tends to not be suited to 1/4 drags as you need 4th gear right at the end which is a bit of a pain.
  9. Depends on how good you are! Low 15's as a guess?
  10. The Konig's give a good ride and are fully adjustable. I've got the Highsports and they are very good value for money but sometimes I wish they were a bit better damped on slow speed rebound. Overall though I'm chuffed with them (and they were less than £400 from Venom). Have a search on the forum, as you can imagine this one has come up loads. If I did it again I'd wait a bit longer and get the Konigs. :)
  11. Well I had it down at G Werks and they tightened up everything you said. Might try the balance weight thing though. cheers
  12. I can vouch for std wheels and tyres, soo much better than the 17s
  13. Well you're now in the enviable position of having 2 sets of speakers. Install them both and decide which ones you like the sound of. It's not like you've got some Maystar speakers and some JL's where the decision is already made for you.
  14. Somebody's been watching Batman
  15. Mine was way more tarnished in colour than that. It looks fine. My palstic thing just rests on top.
  16. I assume that's the bit that the CV's locate into in the gearbox? How would this become "unbalanced"?

    Engine mounts

I've got a JMR one (solid alloy) and it was £70 I think. You can get away with a solid front mount as the mount bolts onto something which itself is rubber mounted so you don't get any harsh vibrations.
  18. I've still got this problem and it's now worse than ever. It's now present from about 30mph and seems to be road speed related rather than engine speed related. What is there in the gearbox that tuns at "road speed" that could be out of balance? I'm at a real loss here. The car's in a local garage and so far they've drawn a blank; although they haven't taken anything apart yet.
  19. I'd prefer mine to come up at 70 or so but in trying to mod it I know I'd end up breaking it.
  20. I set up a club discount when I was part of another car forum and got quite a lot off them if I remember. Something like 25% if I remember correctly as you can order direct from their warehouse. They do most stuff in a choice between 3 and 4 ply too, best go for the 4 ply in boost applications. I've bought loads of hosing from them and they also do very slick CNC machined ally hose joiners.
  21. It's a great looking car, is it FWD?
  22. That's incredible, was that a special cash job through John (I know he uses them too) or as a standard punter?
  23. That is reasonable! I'd like my roof and and little strip beneath the headlamps done at some point.
  24. Alloy is not great for a cold air feed as it'll get hot from the engine. You'd be better off with a plastic or carbon That link above looks great!
